District Court Hathras Stenographer and Staff Recruitment 2026: Overview

The District Judge, Hathras (Uttar Pradesh) is filling vacant Stenographer, Class III cadre and Class IV cadre posts in the Hathras judgeship by re-employing retired court staff. This is not an open recruitment for freshers — only employees who have retired from the judicial establishment can apply.

The drive follows the Allahabad High Court's circular No. 14/Admin 'D' Section dated 15 October 2022 and its letter No. 13858/Admin 'D' Section dated 1 November 2022, which let district courts bring back experienced retirees while regular posts stay empty. If you retired from a court office and still want to work, this is a chance to return to familiar duties close to home.

Posts and Disciplines

  • Stenographer (Ashulipik): shorthand and typing work for the judicial officers of the Hathras judgeship.
  • Class III cadre (Tritiya Shreni): the clerical and ministerial posts in the court's offices — the largest group in this drive.
  • Class IV cadre (Chaturth Shreni): support-staff posts in the district court establishment.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Only retirees: You must be a retired employee of the judicial establishment; serving staff and outside candidates are not covered.
  • Purely temporary: The re-employment lasts up to one year. It ends earlier if the post is filled through promotion or direct recruitment, or when you turn 65 — whichever comes first.
  • Pay rule: You get your last drawn pay minus your current pension; the balance is paid as your monthly pay.
  • Selection basis: An interview plus a look at your past service record and Annual Confidential Remarks. Final appointment needs the approval of the Allahabad High Court.
  • Clean record: You must file an affidavit stating that no criminal case is pending against you and that no court has convicted you.
  • Health: A signed self-declaration (Proforma-II) that you are in good health to work in the District Court, Hathras is part of the application.

Application Submission Notes

Fill the prescribed Proforma-I with a self-attested photo and attach your last pay certificate and last pension certificate. Hand it in at the Administrative Office, Janpad Nyayalaya (District Court), Hathras.

The office accepts forms only until 4:00 PM on the closing day; applications that arrive later are not considered.
