Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is hiring a Course Coordinator for the National Emergency Life Support (NELS) Skill Centre at the Trauma Centre of its Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS). The Skill Centre works as a medical simulation centre where doctors, nurses and other medical staff learn basic and advanced life-support skills. This is a contractual, one-person coordination job: you plan the trainings, keep the centre stocked and handle trainee paperwork, all under the institute's NELS Nodal Officer.

The post suits a health or allied-science graduate who likes organising more than bedside work. A nursing background (B.Sc or GNM) and experience running BLS/ALS workshops under a national or state health programme are preferred but not compulsory. Hands-on experience keeping training premises, equipment and consumables ready for life-support courses also counts in your favour.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract length: the job runs till 31 March 2027 or until the contract agreement with the college authorities ends, whichever applies.
• Pay type: the salary is a fixed consolidated amount, so there is no pay scale or allowances on top.
• Reporting line: all training, inventory and billing work runs under the overall guidance of the designated NELS Nodal Officer of IMS.
• Finance duties: you will handle trainee bills and approved claims, so comfort with basic accounts and record-keeping helps.
