BHU JRF Physics Recruitment 2026: Overview

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is hiring a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a project in the Department of Physics, Institute of Science, Varanasi. The work focuses on designing and improving supercell phononic crystals to reduce low-frequency vibrations.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project-linked appointment: The project has approval for three years. Your post is temporary and ends with the project, so the engagement does not continue independently after the research project closes.
• Reservation preference: When other factors are equal, the university will give preference to SC/ST candidates under Government of India rules. This is a condition stated specifically in the advertisement.
• Interview travel: BHU will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview. You should account for your own travel arrangements if you are called.
