Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has released Advertisement No. 03/2026 for the Jharkhand Intermediate Level Combined Competitive Examination 2026. This single brochure covers six regular-vacancy posts across Health, Planning and Development, Urban Development, Animal Husbandry/Fisheries and related departments. 10+2 candidates should check the post-wise subject requirement before choosing their options.

Post-Wise Qualification

• Health Supervisor: 10+2 Science or I.Sc. from a recognised institution.
• Junior Regional Investigator: Intermediate / 10+2 with Mathematics.
• Multipurpose Health Worker: 10+2 Science or I.Sc. from a recognised institution.
• Veterinary Assistant / Medical Assistant: Intermediate in Biology / Life Science.
• Insect Collector: Intermediate / 10+2 with Biology.
• Fishery Technical Assistant: Intermediate / 10+2 with Biology.

Other Eligibility

• Reference date for qualification: You must have the required qualification by the last date of online application.
• Jharkhand reservation claims: Local resident, caste, EWS, disability and other certificates must match the format and authority mentioned in the brochure.
• Multiple post options: If you meet more than one qualification, you can choose multiple posts in order of preference through the online form.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years.
• Base Maximum Age: 35 years for Unreserved and EWS categories.
• Relaxed Maximum Age: 37 years for EBC/BC male candidates, 38 years for women of UR/EWS/EBC/BC categories, and 40 years for SC/ST candidates.
• PwD Relaxation: PwD candidates with 40% or more disability get 10 additional years.
• Ex-servicemen: Eligible ex-servicemen get 5 years additional relaxation.
• Post-wise age dates: The brochure gives separate age reference dates: 01 August 2023, 01 August 2024 or 01 August 2025 depending on the post.

• Health Supervisor: Pay Band-I Rs. 5,200-20,200, Grade Pay Rs. 2,400.
• Junior Regional Investigator: Pay Band-I Rs. 5,200-20,200, Grade Pay Rs. 2,000.
• Multipurpose Health Worker: Pay Band-I Rs. 5,200-20,200, Grade Pay Rs. 1,900.
• Veterinary Assistant / Medical Assistant: Pay Band-I Rs. 5,200-20,200, Grade Pay Rs. 1,900.
• Insect Collector: Pay Band-I Rs. 5,200-20,200, Grade Pay Rs. 1,800.
• Fishery Technical Assistant: Pay Band-I Rs. 5,200-20,200, Grade Pay Rs. 1,800.

Application Fee

• General / EWS / BC / EBC and other candidates: Rs. 100.
• Jharkhand SC / ST candidates: Rs. 50.
• Jharkhand PwD candidates with 40% or more disability: No fee.
• Payment mode: Online through the JSSC application portal.

Selection Process

JSSC will conduct the exam in CBT or OMR mode. All questions will be objective multiple-choice questions.

1. Preliminary Examination: Usually held if applications are 50,000 or more. It has 120 questions for 2 hours.
2. Main Examination: Three papers, each of 2 hours. Paper 1 is qualifying, while Paper 2 and Paper 3 marks are used for merit when Paper 1 is cleared.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates for qualification, residence, category, disability, age and other claims.

Paper 1 in the main exam is qualifying. The marks of Paper 1 are not added for merit if you only clear the qualifying level. JSSC prepares merit mainly from Paper 2 and Paper 3 after applying the rules in the brochure.

Marking scheme: Each correct answer gives 3 marks, and 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. The exam language is Hindi and English.

1. Go to the JSSC website at jssc.jharkhand.gov.in.
2. Click the online application link for JILCCE-2026.
3. Register yourself and keep the registration number and password safely.
4. Log in again and fill personal, education, category and post preference details.
5. Pay the exam fee, then upload scanned photo and full signature.
6. Submit the form and take a printout after final submission.
7. Use the correction window from 21 August to 23 August 2026 if you need to fix allowed entries.

Do not wait for the correction window for basic mistakes. The brochure says name, date of birth, email ID and mobile number are not normally corrected through the same window. Check these details carefully before final submission.
