DLSA Sheikhpura (Appointment Notice 01/2026) is inviting fresh applications to enroll 100 Para Legal Volunteers to spread legal awareness and support legal aid work across the district. This is voluntary community service, not a regular government job — there is no fixed monthly salary, no reservation, and the selection is valid for one year. Teachers, retired government employees, senior citizens, anganwadi workers, doctors, law students, and members of NGOs, clubs and self-help groups interested in social work can apply. Previously selected and working PLVs must reapply and may be given preference.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Matriculation (10th) pass or equivalent.
• Residency: You must be a permanent resident of Sheikhpura district, Bihar.
• Health: You should be physically and mentally fit.
• Character: You must have good character, an interest in social service, and no criminal case or conviction against you.
• Political Affiliation: You must not be a member of any political party.
• Suitable candidates include teachers (serving/retired), retired government servants, senior citizens, anganwadi workers, doctors, law students (not enrolled as advocates), and members of NGOs, clubs or self-help groups willing to work without financial benefit.

Age Limit

• You should be at least 18 years old.

Salary

• You will get an honorarium of Rs. 750 per day, payable only for the specific days DLSA assigns you legal service work.
• This is a voluntary role and does not carry a fixed monthly salary.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Application Screening: By the DLSA Sheikhpura selection committee, done zone-wise to cover all areas of the district.
2. Interview: Conducted by the selection committee; the date and venue will be published on the Civil Court, Sheikhpura website.

The decision of the selection committee is final and binding. Since there is no reservation for this voluntary role, selection is purely need and suitability based.
