The Office of Industrial Consultancy and Sponsored Research (IC&SR), IIT Madras, has released Advertisement No. ICSR/PR/Advt.140/2026 dated 25 July 2026 for 1 Senior Executive post in its Technology Transfer Office (TTO). This is a contract position, initially for one year and extendable based on your performance. c-RTTP/CLP certification is a bonus but not mandatory — the role suits candidates who understand patents, licensing, and industry outreach and want to build a career in technology transfer. Who Can Apply?

• Skills: You should be comfortable with IPMS/CRM platforms, Excel/Power BI, and virtual collaboration tools, along with curiosity to learn new tech domains and regulatory updates.

What You'll Work On

As a Senior Executive, you'll grasp technical concepts quickly from invention disclosures (IDFs) and prepare technology briefs for industry outreach. You'll run techno-commercial feasibility studies, market reports, and technology evaluations, manage licensing agreements and royalty tracking, and build monthly dashboards on the disclosure pipeline, patent status, and outreach performance.

Salary

• You will get a monthly pay of Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 65,000, depending on your skill level and experience.
• This is a contract role and the pay does not follow the standard 7th CPC pay matrix or government DA/HRA structure.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: Based on the qualification, experience, and information given in your online application.

3. Document Verification: You must bring original documents and, if currently working on an IIT Madras project, a No-Objection Certificate (NOC).
