Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) Alumni Relations Manager Recruitment 2026
The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, has released advertisement IITH/CS/52 dated 13-05-2026 for one Alumni Relations Manager post on a purely contractual basis. The engagement is initially for 11 months, extendable based on performance and the Institute's needs. Postgraduates with experience in academic alumni engagement, donor relations, or institutional fundraising can apply.
Who Can Apply?
Essential Qualifications
- Qualification: You must have a Postgraduation/Master's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognised university.
- Experience: You need a minimum of 2 years of work experience in any of the following areas:
- Alumni engagement and relationship management within academic or research institutions
- Organising events such as alumni reunions, campus visits, seminars, or outreach activities
- Fundraising coordination, donor engagement, or development of institutional support initiatives
- Maintaining alumni databases, preparing newsletters, and managing online communication platforms
- Liaising with internal departments, external collaborators, and stakeholders for coordinated programmes
- Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India.
Desirable Qualifications
- Proficiency in using CRM/ERP platforms for managing alumni databases
- Ability to build relationships with alumni and non-alumni philanthropists for fund mobilisation
- Skill in developing engaging newsletters and managing alumni portals/websites
- Experience preparing detailed fund utilisation reports
Age Limit
- Upper Age Limit: 35 years
- The cut-off date for age, qualification, and experience is 1 June 2026 (last date of online application).
- Part-time employment experience will not be counted.
Salary
- Consolidated remuneration: Rs. 45,000 per month (subject to statutory deductions)
- No separate DA, HRA, or allowances on top of the consolidated pay
- Contractual employees are not eligible for residential accommodation by default; allotment may be considered case-by-case
- Medical: OPD treatment available at Institute dispensary at Rs. 100 (normal) / Rs. 200 (specialist) — no reimbursement of outside medical expenses
- You must hold a valid health insurance policy at your own expense during the engagement
Selection Process
Selection is done in three stages:
- Written Test: Covers General Knowledge & Aptitude (logical reasoning, analytical ability, quantitative aptitude), Communication Skills (email drafting, professional letter writing) and MS Office & Digital Skills (Excel, Word, PPT, data handling, report making).
- Skill Test: Practical assessment of digital skills and communication.
- Interview: Final round at IIT Hyderabad, Kandi, Sangareddy.
The Institute may relax experience criteria for highly meritorious candidates. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the selections.
