IIM Kozhikode Senior Support Engineer (IT) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM Kozhikode), one of India's premier management institutions established in 1996, has invited online applications for the post of Senior Support Engineer (IT) on a contract basis. This position is based at the IIM Kozhikode campus in Kunnamangalam, Kozhikode, Kerala. The engagement is purely on contract basis for an initial period of six months, with further extensions subject to job requirements and performance. Who Can Apply?

Option 1 — Post-Graduate or Graduate in Engineering/Technology

• B.Tech (CS/CE/IT) / BE (CS/CE/IT) / MCA / M.Sc (Computer Science/IT) with minimum 55% marks
• You need at least 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience

Option 2 — Graduate in Computer Science

• BCA / B.Sc (Computer Science/IT) with minimum 55% marks
• You need at least 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience

Option 3 — Diploma Holders

• Three-year full-time Diploma in Computer Science / IT / Computer Engineering / Computer Hardware Maintenance with minimum 55% marks
• You need at least 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience

Knowledge in website designing will be an added advantage.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years (as on the date of notification)
• Age relaxation: Applicable as per Government of India rules for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen)

Salary

• You will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration as decided by IIM Kozhikode for contract positions
• The remuneration includes a telephone allowance of Rs. 300/- per month
• For reference, the previous Senior Support Engineer (IT) position at IIM Kozhikode offered Rs. 26,700/- per month consolidated. The current salary may be higher.

Selection Process

• Handle troubleshooting of computers, including both hardware and software issues across the campus network
• Assist users with day-to-day IT problems and provide user-level support for network connectivity issues
• Manage and maintain the campus computer center infrastructure and ensure smooth operations
• Monitor network performance and resolve network-related problems promptly
• Work on website designing and maintenance tasks as assigned by the IT department
• Follow instructions from reporting officers and higher officials at the computer center
• Perform shift duties, which may include night shifts, to ensure 24/7 IT support availability
