ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), New Delhi is hiring 3 Young Professional-I posts under the Seed Production Unit on contract basis. If you have a Graduation in Agriculture Science or Graduation in any stream with MBA / ITI (Electric), you can attend the walk-in interview. The interview is on 22 June 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Seed Production Unit, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi. The consolidated stipend is Rs. 30,000 per month.

ICAR-IARI Young Professional-I Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

The Seed Production Unit (SPU) of ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi has released Notice No. SPU/YP/26-27/ dated 14-05-2026 for engagement of 3 Young Professional-I (YP-I) on contractual basis. The posts are split across two different qualification streams — 2 posts for Agriculture Science graduates and 1 post for graduates in any stream with MBA or ITI (Electric). Selection is purely through a walk-in interview on 22 June 2026 at the Incharge office of the Seed Production Unit. The engagement is for 12 months and may be extended up to 2 years.

Who Can Apply?

For Post 1 - YP-I (2 Posts)

• Essential: Graduation in Agriculture Science
• Desirable: Minimum 2 years experience in Seed Production, marketing and knowledge of Agricultural field crops; proficiency in Computer (MS Office)

For Post 2 - YP-I (1 Post)

• Essential: Graduation in any stream
• Desirable: MBA / ITI (Electric); minimum 2 years experience in Seed Processing, grading, packaging and storage; knowledge of agricultural field crops; proficiency in Computer (MS Office)

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 45 years
• Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC / ST / PH / OBC candidates as per Government of India rules

Salary

• Consolidated emoluments: Rs. 30,000 per month
• This is a fixed consolidated amount with no additional allowances
• No TA / DA will be paid for attending the interview

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)

There is no written exam — selection is purely through a walk-in interview.

1. Walk-in Interview: Held on 22 June 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Chamber of Incharge, Seed Production Unit, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi - 110012
2. Document Verification: Original certificates from matriculation onwards must be produced at the interview
3. Only candidates having essential qualifications will be entertained for the interview

How to Apply

1. Prepare your bio-data in the prescribed CV format (10 points: name with photo, parents' names, DOB, address, category, qualification details, experience, NOC if applicable, additional info, declaration).
2. Attach the declaration about relatives employed in ICAR/IARI (signed).
3. Collect original certificates and self-attested photocopies of all certificates from matriculation onwards.

• Prepare daily reports and assist scientists with documentation
• Handle storage equipment and electrical setups (for the MBA/ITI Electric post)
• Coordinate with farmers, vendors and other ICAR-IARI units as needed
