ICAR-IARI is hiring 1 Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the Division of Agronomy, New Delhi. If you have an M.Tech/M.Sc. in Soil & Water Conservation Engineering, Water Science & Technology, Agronomy, Soil Science, Agricultural Physics, or Agro-meteorology, you can apply by email. ICAR-IARI Senior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Division of Agronomy, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute has announced a walk-in interview for one SRF under the IARI-SM Sehgal Foundation funded project on regenerative agriculture production systems. The post is purely temporary, contractual, unreserved, and co-terminus with the project. The interview will be held offline at ICAR-IARI, New Delhi on 22 May 2026 at 10:00 AM.

Who Can Apply?

• Essential: M.Tech/M.Sc. in Soil & Water Conservation Engineering, Water Science & Technology, Agronomy, Soil Science, Agricultural Physics, or Agro-meteorology.
• Desirable: Specialization in micro-irrigation management.
• Preferred skills: Smart agriculture technologies, automation, machine learning, IoT, AI-based applications, irrigation, fertigation and crop production management.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 35 years
• Age as on: 22 May 2026
• SC/ST/Women: 5 years relaxation
• OBC: 3 years relaxation

Fellowship / Salary

• 1st and 2nd year: Rs. 37,000 per month + HRA
• 3rd year: Rs. 42,000 per month + HRA
• Initial engagement is for one year or up to the project approval date, whichever is earlier.
