No. 410/202627. If you have a one-year Multi-Purpose Health Worker basic certificate or a Sanitary Inspector diploma, you can apply online. The last date is 29 May 2026. The fixed pay for the first five years is Rs. 26,000 per month, after which you move to Pay Level-2 (Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200).

GSSSB MPHW (Male) Class-3 Recruitment 2026 - 11 Posts

Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board (GSSSB), Gandhinagar has released notification number 410/202627 for the recruitment of Multi Purpose Health Worker (Male), Class-3 posts under the Additional Director (Public Health) of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Gujarat. All 11 vacancies are reserved exclusively for male Divyang (Persons with Disabilities) candidates as part of a Special Recruitment Drive. Selection is through a CBRT/OMR objective-type written exam followed by document verification.

Vacancy Breakdown by Disability Group

• Group A (Low Vision 40-70%): 4 posts
• Group C (Locomotor Disability — OA, BA, OL, BL, CP, Dwarfism, AAV, SD, SI): 4 posts
• Group D & E (Intellectual Disability, Mental Illness, Multiple Disabilities 40-70%): 3 posts

Note: Posts are reserved only for male Divyang candidates. There is no reservation for women candidates in this drive. Ex-servicemen reservation also does not apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have ONE of the following — (a) Minimum one-year Multi-Purpose Health Worker basic certificate or Diploma from a government-recognised institution, OR (b) One-year Sanitary Inspectors Diploma, OR (c) One-year Health Sanitary Inspectors certificate from an ITI or recognised institute, OR (d) Diploma of Sanitary Inspector / Health Sanitary Inspector from a recognised University.
• Computer Knowledge: Basic computer knowledge as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules, 1967.
• Language: Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
• Disability: Only male candidates with Benchmark Disability of 40% or more from Group A, C, D, or E categories can apply. Disability Certificate in Form V/VI/VII (Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017) is required.
• Domicile: Original Gujarat state reserved category candidates will get reservation/age relaxation benefits.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 33 years old as on 29 May 2026.
• Age Relaxation: General category Divyang male candidates get 10 years relaxation (max age 43 years). Reserved category Divyang male candidates get 15 years relaxation (max age 45 years).
• Upper age limit can be relaxed for candidates already in Gujarat Government service as per rules.

Salary

• First 5 years: Fixed pay of Rs. 26,000 per month.
• After 5 years: Regular Pay Level-2 (7th CPC) of Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month plus DA, HRA and other allowances as per Gujarat Government rules.
• Note: Regular appointment after 5 years is subject to Supreme Court SLP No. 14124/2012 and 14125/2012 rulings.

Selection Process

Selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Competitive Written Exam (CBRT/OMR): Single-stage objective MCQ test of 210 questions for 210 marks over 3 hours (180 minutes). Part-A (General — 90 marks) and Part-B (Subject — 120 marks). Negative marking of 1/4 mark for each wrong answer.
2. Document Verification: Twice the number of vacancies per disability group called for verification.
3. Final Merit and Selection List: Prepared based on written exam marks after qualifying both Part-A and Part-B (40% minimum qualifying marks each).

Sports Bonus: 5% bonus marks (normalized) for candidates who represented India in national/international level or All India School/University level competitions in recognised sports.

4. Fill in Personal Details, Educational Details and accept the Assurance, then click Save.
5. Note down your Application Number.
6. Upload your passport-size photograph (5 cm x 3.6 cm) and signature (2.5 cm x 7.5 cm) in JPG format under 15 KB.
7. Click "Confirm Application" to generate your Confirmation Number.
8. Pay the fee online via Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI or Wallets.
9. Take a printout of the application form for your records.

• Conduct school health checks under RBSK and adolescent health activities under RKSK
• Help control communicable diseases like malaria, dengue, chikungunya, TB, leprosy and HIV
• Maintain immunisation records and provide vaccination services in the field
• Assist in epidemic outbreak response and IDSP surveillance work
• Educate communities about sanitation, hygiene and disease prevention
• Prepare health reports and update village-level health registers
• Support medical officers in primary health centre activities and emergency response
