No. 403/202526) for 14 Laboratory Technician, Class-3 posts under the Health and Family Welfare Department. All 14 posts are backlog vacancies reserved for Persons with Disabilities and are being filled through a Special Recruitment Drive. The number of posts was increased from 10 to 14 in this updated advertisement.

Vacancy Breakdown by Disability Group

• Deaf and Hard of Hearing: 5 posts
• Autism, Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disability and Mental Illness: 5 posts
• Locomotor Disability (including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy): 4 posts

Only candidates who hold a valid civil surgeon certificate of 40% or more disability in the above categories can apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Degree: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Bio-chemistry or Bio-technology from a recognised university.
• Diploma/Training: Diploma in Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Technician, or Post-Graduate Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, or a one-year Medical Laboratory Technology / Laboratory Technician training course from a Government-recognised institution.
• Computer Knowledge: Basic knowledge of computer application as per the Gujarat Civil Services Classification (General) Rules, 1967.
• Language: Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 36 years old.
• Age is counted as on 20 March 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Persons with Disabilities get age relaxation as per Gujarat government rules.

Salary

• You will get a fixed pay of Rs. 40,800 per month during the probation period.
• The probation period is 5 years. After probation, you get the regular Class-3 pay scale with allowances as per Gujarat government rules.

Selection Process

The selection is done in these stages:
