The District Legal Services Authority, Pilibhit (under the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad) is inviting applications for the post of Member in the Permanent Lok Adalat (PLA). There is 1 vacant post. If you have good experience in any public utility service (like transport, power, water, telephone, insurance or hospital services), you can apply by post. You will get a sitting fee of Rs. 2,000 per sitting plus a monthly conveyance allowance. The last date to apply is 08 July 2026.

DLSA Pilibhit Permanent Lok Adalat Member Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The District Legal Services Authority, Pilibhit, working under the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, has released a notice to fill 1 post of Member in the Permanent Lok Adalat. A Permanent Lok Adalat is set up under Section 22B of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 to settle disputes about public utility services quickly and at low cost. This is a fixed-tenure post for 5 years (or until you reach 65 years of age). People with real, hands-on experience in public utility services are encouraged to apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Experience: You must have adequate experience in public utility services. This includes any one of the following:

• Transport service for carrying passengers or goods by air, road or water
• Postal, telegraph or telephone service
• Supply of power, light or water to the public
• Public conservancy or sanitation system
• Service in a hospital or dispensary
• Insurance service

Term and Age

• The Member will hold office for a term of 5 years, or until the age of 65 years, whichever comes first.

Salary and Entitlement

• Sitting fee: Rs. 2,000 per sitting
• Conveyance allowance: Rs. 5,000 per month

This is not a regular monthly salaried post. You are paid a sitting fee for each sitting you attend plus a fixed monthly conveyance allowance.

Selection Process

Selection is based on your experience and background:

1. Screening of Applications: The applications received in the prescribed format will be checked for eligibility and experience in public utility services.
2. Document Verification: Your certificates and experience records will be verified before appointment.

1. Fill in the application in the prescribed proforma given with the official notice.
2. Attach two recent passport size photographs and two self-addressed stamped envelopes.
3. Attach copies of your address proof, educational qualification and experience certificates.
4. Send the completed application by post to the Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Civil Court, Pilibhit (Uttar Pradesh).
5. Make sure your application reaches on or before 08 July 2026.
