CSIR-NAL has announced a walk-in interview for 4 Project Staff positions at its Bengaluru campus. Candidates with qualifications ranging from ITI (Fitter) to M.Tech/M.E. in relevant engineering disciplines can attend. The walk-in interview is on 23 March 2026. CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL) Project Staff Recruitment 2026 - 4 Posts

CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Bengaluru, an autonomous body under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, is hiring project staff on a contract basis for its ongoing research projects. This recruitment covers roles in materials science, ceramic technology, and aerospace engineering. No application fee is required and selection is through walk-in interview only. The positions are open to candidates with ITI-level to postgraduate-level qualifications.

Who Can Apply?

Project Assistant-I (PA-I):

• Qualification: You need to have passed SSC/10th plus ITI in Fitter trade.
• Job Role: Preparation of laminates and coatings.

Project Associate-I (PAT-I):

• Qualification: Masters or Integrated Masters in Polymers/Materials from a recognised university, OR a Bachelor's degree in Polymers/Materials Engineering or Technology.
• Job Role: Preparing PVDF composite films for accelerometer applications.

Project Associate-II (PAT-II) - Ceramic Technology:

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Ceramic Technology with 2 years of R&D experience, OR Masters/Integrated Masters in Ceramic Technology/Engineering.
• Job Role: Designing fixtures and tools for C-SiC component fabrication, operating CVI and LSI furnaces, and characterising C-SiC composites.

Project Associate-II (PAT-II) - Aerospace/Mechanical:

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Aerospace/Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering with 2 years of R&D experience, OR Masters/Integrated Masters in the same disciplines.
• Job Role: CFD analysis, meshing, CAD modelling, and aerodynamics work. Exposure to wind tunnel and experimental aerodynamics is an advantage.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years (as on 23 March 2026, the date of walk-in interview).
• SC/ST/PwBD/Women: 5 years relaxation (up to 40 years).
• OBC: 3 years relaxation (up to 38 years).

Salary

• Project Assistant-I (PA-I): Rs. 18,000 per month + HRA
• Project Associate-I (PAT-I): Rs. 25,000 per month + HRA
• Project Associate-II (PAT-II): Rs. 28,000 per month + HRA
• The engagement is purely on contract basis, co-terminus with the project.

Selection Process

Selection will be done through a single stage:

1. Walk-in Interview: You need to attend in person at the CSIR-NAL campus in Bengaluru on 23 March 2026. If a large number of candidates turn up, the screening committee may conduct a written exam to shortlist candidates for the interview.
2. Document Verification: Your original certificates will be verified at the time of the walk-in itself.

A panel of suitable candidates will be created after the selection process, valid for up to one year.

2. Fill in the application form completely in the prescribed format.
3. Affix a recent passport-size photograph on the form.
4. Carry all original documents along with one set of self-attested photocopies (educational certificates, experience certificates, category certificate if applicable, Aadhaar card or government ID).
5. Report at CSIR-NAL (RAB Meeting Complex), Adjacent to SBI, NAL Branch, Kodihalli, Bengaluru - 560017 between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM on 23 March 2026.
6. No registration will be allowed after 9:30 AM.
