BEML Limited is offering 1,346 one-year apprenticeship slots for engineering graduates, general graduates, diploma holders and ITI certificate holders. Training is planned at the Bangalore, Mysore, KGF and Palakkad complexes. BEML Limited, a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has issued Advertisement No. L&D/01/2026 for apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The engagement covers 208 Graduate Technical, 61 General Graduate, 125 Diploma and 952 Trade Apprentice slots across four manufacturing complexes, with reservation shown for SC, ST, OBC (NCL) and UR categories.

This is a training engagement for 1 year, not a regular BEML appointment. The advertised slot count is provisional and may change with the company's actual training need and applicable apprenticeship reservation rules. Completing the programme does not create a right to employment with BEML Limited.

Vacancy Details

The location totals are 400 at Bangalore, 227 at Mysore, 608 at KGF and 111 at Palakkad. Across all four complexes, the category distribution is 193 SC, 90 ST, 368 OBC (NCL) and 695 UR slots. You may apply for only one trade at one location.

Who Can Apply?

Graduate Apprentice (Technical)

• Qualification: A 4-year full-time BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Civil, Computer Science, Information Science or another branch listed for the chosen complex.
• Additional branches: Industrial Production, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Aeronautical and other notified allied branches are available at selected locations.

Graduate Apprentice (General)

• Qualification: A 3-year full-time B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA or BBA (HR), where the course is listed for the selected complex.

Diploma Apprentice

• Qualification: A 3-year full-time engineering diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics, Communication, Civil, Computer Science, Information Science, Instrumentation or another notified branch.

Trade Apprentice

• Qualification: A full-time 1-year or 2-year ITI certificate, according to the trade duration.
• Notified trades: Fitter, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Electrician, COPA, Mechanic Diesel, Carpenter, Tool and Die Making, Sheet Metal Worker, Plumber, Mechanic Auto Electrical and Electronics, Mechanic Motor Vehicle and Electronic Mechanic.

Your qualification must be from a recognized institute or university and completed through regular full-time study. Part-time, correspondence, distance and online qualifications are not accepted. Your final result must have been declared within 3 years before the closing date, and you cannot apply while waiting for the result.

You cannot apply if you have already completed or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training in any organization. Your name and date of birth must match across the Class 10 certificate, Aadhaar card and bank account. The bank account must be Aadhaar-seeded and enabled for Direct Benefit Transfer.

Age Limit

• You must be at least 17 years old when you apply.
• The notification does not state a maximum age limit or category-wise age relaxation.

Monthly Stipend

• Graduate Apprentice (Technical or General): Rs. 12,300 per month
• Diploma Apprentice: Rs. 10,900 per month
• Trade Apprentice: Rs. 9,600 or Rs. 10,560 per month, depending on the trade

The stipend is paid during the 1-year apprenticeship, subject to satisfactory attendance and performance. Poor performance or unauthorized absence can lead to termination. The notice does not list separate allowances in addition to the monthly stipend.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

BEML states that there is no written examination or interview. Selection is based on eligibility screening, marks in the final qualifying examination and document checks for the selected trade and location.

1. Application Screening: BEML checks your age, qualification, pass-out date, trade, location and uploaded documents.
2. Shortlisting by Merit: A category-wise list is prepared for each trade and location at up to 5 times the available slots, using final qualifying-examination marks.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted applicants are called in merit order through their registered email. BEML does not pay TA or DA for attending this stage.
4. Final Merit and Offer: Applicants found suitable at document verification receive offers according to merit and slot availability. Others may remain on a reserve waiting panel.
5. Pre-engagement Checks: Final engagement needs acceptance of the tripartite NATS/NAPS contract, a prescribed medical fitness certificate and a police verification certificate.

How to Apply

1. Choose the apprenticeship category, trade and location that match your qualification.
2. For an ITI trade, register on apprenticeshipindia.gov.in through NAPS. For a degree or engineering diploma, register on nats.education.gov.in through NATS.
3. Complete your NATS or NAPS profile fully and get the registration or enrolment number.
4. Keep your certificates, marksheets, age proof, caste certificate if applicable, Aadhaar-linked bank proof, photograph, signature and government identity proof ready.
5. Open recruitment.bemlindia.in, choose Apprentices, and use Login/Registration.
6. Enter the same personal details shown on your Class 10 certificate, Aadhaar and bank account.
7. Select only one trade at one location, upload clear documents and review every entry.
8. Apply online by 8 September 2026 at 23:00 hours and retain the application details for reference.

BEML accepts the form through its online recruitment portal only. Multiple applications, more than one trade or location, missing documents, an incomplete portal profile or inaccurate information can lead to rejection at any stage.
