ANGRAU GPBR Research Associate Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University has opened this 11-month temporary and contractual research post at ARS Kadiri in Sri Sathya Sai District, Andhra Pradesh. The person selected will conduct breeding experiments and seed-production activities under the station's research programme.

The work location is ARS Kadiri, but the interview venue is the Office of the Associate Director of Research at RARS Nandyal. This distinction matters when planning travel, so use the Nandyal venue for the walk-in and do not report directly to Kadiri for the interview.

Who Can Apply?

Ph.D. Route

  • Qualification: Ph.D. in Genetics and Plant Breeding.
  • Experience: The notice also calls for 3 years of experience evidenced through fellowship, associateship, training or other engagements.
  • Publication: At least one research paper in a Science Citation Index journal or a journal with a NAAS rating above 4.0.

Master's Degree Route

  • Qualification: M.Sc. (Agriculture) in Genetics and Plant Breeding with first division or the stated overall grade-point standard.
  • Bachelor's degree: The Master's route must be supported by a four- or five-year B.Sc. (Agriculture) degree.
  • Experience: At least 3 years evidenced through fellowship, associateship, training or other engagements.
  • Publication: At least one research paper in a Science Citation Index journal or a journal with a NAAS rating above 4.0.

All relevant degrees must be from ICAR-accredited universities or colleges. Carry records that clearly connect your degree, experience and publication to the criteria because the station will check your original certificates and supporting documents at the walk-in.

Age Limit

  • Men: Maximum 40 years.
  • Women: Maximum 45 years.
  • Age reference date: 03 September 2026, the interview date.

The official notice gives separate maximum ages for men and women and does not list another category-wise relaxation table. Bring a matriculation or equivalent record that clearly shows your date of birth.

Salary

  • Ph.D. holder: Rs. 67,000 per month plus HRA.
  • Master's degree holder: Rs. 61,000 per month plus HRA.
  • HRA: Paid at the existing Andhra Pradesh Government rate applicable to the place of work.
  • Interview expenses: No TA or DA will be paid.

Your monthly amount depends on the qualification route used for appointment. This is contractual project pay for 11 months rather than a regular university pay scale or grade-pay appointment.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

ANGRAU has announced a direct walk-in interview with document verification. It has not listed a written exam, test syllabus, marks pattern or negative marking for this recruitment.

  1. Document Verification: Officials check the application-biodata form, photograph, original certificates and supporting documents.
  2. Walk-in Interview: The selection committee assesses your Genetics and Plant Breeding education, research experience, publication and suitability for breeding and seed-production work.
  3. Final Decision: The selection committee's decision is final under the terms of the notice.

Only applicants meeting the essential qualification should attend. Make sure every experience and publication claim in your biodata has matching evidence, as unsupported claims may not be counted. Organize the records by qualification, experience and publication so the committee can compare each requirement with the supporting certificate or paper during the same walk-in visit. A clearly ordered file also helps the short document-check stage move without avoidable delays.

How to Apply

  1. Read the direct ANGRAU notification for the Research Associate (Genetics and Plant Breeding) post at ARS Kadiri.
  2. Prepare the application-biodata form with accurate education, experience and contact details.
  3. Affix one latest passport-size photograph to the form.
  4. Arrange all original qualification, experience, publication and supporting records.
  5. Get a No Objection Certificate from your employer if you currently work elsewhere.
  6. Report to the Office of the Associate Director of Research, Regional Agricultural Research Station, Nandyal.
  7. Attend the walk-in interview at 10:30 AM on 03 September 2026.

There is no online application or fee stated in the notice. The university will not reimburse interview travel, so check the Nandyal route and keep your complete original document file ready before leaving.

The post is temporary and contractual for 11 months. The engagement is for the Kadiri research assignment and does not turn into a regular university appointment merely because you complete the contract period.
