The Accompanist (Tabla) post alone has 10 vacancies spread across all three institutions, while the Sarangi, Pakhawaj, Violin, and Mridangam posts have 1 vacancy each. Who Can Apply?

You need a M.Mus./M.P.A. degree in Instrumental Music in the instrument matching your post (Tabla, Sarangi, Pakhawaj, Violin, or Mridangam) with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized university, along with good performance and proficiency in that instrument.

• Experience: You need 1 year of experience accompanying Vocal, Dance, or Instrumental Music performances at a Music Conference, All India Radio, or similar platform.

Age Limit

• The age limit for all 5 posts is 40 years.
• Age Relaxation: Reservation and age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates apply as per Government of India policy. There is no age bar for permanent BHU employees.
• Daily-wage and contractual employees of BHU get a 4% marks weightage per year of service (up to a maximum of 20%) in the written test and skill test, if they meet the eligibility criteria.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary in Pay Level 4 (Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month) as per the 7th Central Pay Commission.
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per central government rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in these stages:
