Preference will be given to candidates from listed (publicly traded) companies.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 45 years
  • For internal BHEL candidates: Must have at least 2 years of residual service as on the date of vacancy (19 March 2026)
  • For all other candidates: Must have at least 3 years of residual service as on the date of vacancy
  • Superannuation age for CPSE Board-level posts is generally 60 years

Salary

  • Pay Scale: Rs. 1,80,000 to Rs. 3,40,000 per month (IDA — Industrial Dearness Allowance scale)
  • Pay classification: Schedule 'A' CPSE

Selection Process

The selection is conducted by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) in the following stages:

  • Manage industrial relations, collective bargaining, and legal compliance across all BHEL units
  • Lead performance management systems, employee appraisal, and reward frameworks
  • Drive training, capability development, and leadership programmes for BHEL's workforce
  • Handle administrative functions, security, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives
  • Represent BHEL on HR and administrative matters at Board meetings and with the Ministry of Heavy Industries
