All India Institute of Medical Sciences Deoghar (AIIMS Deoghar) has issued the notification through the Department of Evidence Synthesis for manpower under the DHR-HTAIn project. The work supports health technology assessment, evidence synthesis, field data collection, administration, and project coordination. The engagement is temporary and project-based for 12 months, extendable for up to one more year based on performance or until project completion.

Who Can Apply?

Health Economist and Scientist Posts

• Health Economist: You need a master's degree in Health Economics, Economics, Public Health, or Community Medicine with specialization in healthcare costing and economic evaluation. Experience needed is 2 years for junior staff and 6 years for senior staff.
• Scientist D / Senior Research Officer: Medical applicants need MD/MS/DNB/MPH after MBBS with research experience, MBBS with longer experience, PG diploma routes, or Ph.D. routes as listed. Non-medical applicants need Ph.D. or master's routes with relevant research, teaching, or project-management experience.
• Scientist C / Research Officer: Medical and non-medical routes include MBBS, MD/MS/DNB/MPH, M.Sc., MPH, MHA, M.Pharm, Pharm D, or Ph.D. with the experience stated in the notice.

Administrative and Field Posts

• Administrative Officer: You need a bachelor's degree with 3 years experience in a government department, statutory body, autonomous body, university, or PSU, plus MS Office skills. Retired Section Officer or Under Secretary level officers can also apply.
• Field Officer: You need a graduate degree in science or relevant subject with 3 years work experience, or a master's degree in the relevant subject, or Pharm D.
• Field Investigator: You need the same graduate, master's, or Pharm D route listed for field posts.

Age Limit

• Scientist D / Senior Research Officer: Maximum age is 45 years.
• Health Economist and Scientist C / Research Officer: Maximum age is 40 years.
• Administrative Officer: Maximum age is 50 years, with relaxation up to 5 years for government servants and SC/ST/OBC candidates as per DoPT instructions.
• Field Officer and Field Investigator: Maximum age is 35 years.
• Age reference date: Age is counted as on the last date of application submission, which is 15 July 2026.
• SC/ST/OBC relaxation: Relaxation applies as per Government of India norms.

Salary

• Scientist D / Senior Research Officer: Rs. 78,000 per month plus HRA.
• Health Economist: Rs. 67,000 per month plus HRA.
• Scientist C / Research Officer: Rs. 67,000 per month plus HRA.
• Administrative Officer: Rs. 40,000 per month.
• Field Investigator: Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 32,000 per month.
• Field Officer: Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000 per month.

Selection Process

AIIMS Deoghar will shortlist applications and then call shortlisted applicants for a physical in-person written test, skill test, or interview. The notice says the detailed date and venue will be shared through email and/or the AIIMS Deoghar website.

1. Application Scrutiny: The project office checks the hard-copy application, qualification, age, experience, and documents.
2. Shortlisting: Only shortlisted applicants are called for the next stage.
3. Written Test / Skill Test / Interview: The stage will be held physically in August 2026.
4. Document Verification: Original certificates may be checked before final engagement.
