AIIMS Deoghar, an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, has released Advertisement No. AIIMS/DEO/ACAD.SEC./JR/365 dated 22 July 2026 for the post of Junior Resident (Non-Academic). The appointment is initially for six months, extendable up to a maximum of 18 months based on departmental assessment and post availability. Selection is through Interview and/or a written test — there is no separate written screening exam mentioned for this post. All 29 posts are for Junior Resident (Non-Academic) at the Administrative Block, AIIMS Devipur (Permanent Campus), Deoghar. The category-wise split is:

• Unreserved (UR): 15 posts
• OBC: 4 posts

• ST: 2 posts

5% of posts are reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) on a horizontal basis. The number of vacancies may increase or decrease at the time of selection at the discretion of the Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Deoghar.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: A graduate (MBBS) degree from a recognized university or institute.
• Registration: You will need to submit your Medical Registration certificate from MCI or the State Medical Council, and an FMGE certificate if you are a foreign medical graduate.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit is 33 years, as on the date of interview.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get up to 5 years, and OBC candidates get up to 3 years relaxation.
• Orthopaedic Physically Handicapped (OPH): Up to 5 years for UR, 8 years for OBC, and 10 years for SC/ST category candidates.
• Candidates who have already completed 18 months of Junior Residency elsewhere are not eligible for this post.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary starting at Rs. 56,100 per month (entry pay), going up to around Rs. 1,77,500 per month under Level 10 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
• You will also get DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Central Government rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through:

1. Interview / Written Test: Conducted in the various departments of the Institute. The date of the interview will be notified later on the AIIMS Deoghar website.
2. Document Verification: You must bring original certificates for verification, including your MBBS pass certificate, mark sheets, internship completion certificate, and medical registration certificate.
