ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Bibvewadi, Pune, under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, has released Rolling Advertisement No. 08 of 2026 (in continuation of Advertisement No. 07/2026) inviting candidates for a walk-in interview to fill 38 posts across 19 medical departments plus 3 Medical Officer posts at ESIC Dispensary-cum-Branch Offices (DCBOs) in Maharashtra. The 38 teaching faculty posts are spread across departments including Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Community Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Psychiatry, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Radiology, Anaesthesiology, Blood Bank, Orthopaedics, Surgery, Accident & Emergency, Nephrology, Medical Oncology, and ICU/Critical Care. The 3 Medical Officer posts at DCBOs are in Yavatmal, Gondia, and Washim.

Who Can Apply?

For Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Senior Resident (1 Year & 3 Years):

• Qualification: As per National Medical Commission (NMC, erstwhile MCI) guidelines for the respective post and department.

For Medical Officer at DCBO:

• Qualification: A recognized MBBS degree under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• You must have completed your compulsory rotating internship.
• You should be registered with the National Medical Council or Maharashtra Medical Council.

Age Limit

• You should not exceed 68 years of age as on 11 August 2026 for Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor posts.
• You should not exceed 45 years for Senior Resident posts, as on 11 August 2026.
• You should not exceed 35 years for Medical Officer at DCBO posts, as on 11 August 2026.
• Age Relaxation: As per prevailing Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.
• The maximum engagement tenure for teaching faculty extends till 70 years of age, subject to satisfactory performance.

Salary

• Professor: Pay Level 13, fixed basic pay of Rs. 1,23,100 (approx. emoluments Rs. 2,57,000 per month).
• Associate Professor: Pay Level 12, fixed basic pay of Rs. 78,800 (approx. emoluments Rs. 1,70,000 per month).
• Assistant Professor / Senior Resident: Pay Level 11, fixed basic pay of Rs. 67,700 (approx. emoluments Rs. 1,50,000 per month).
• Medical Officer at DCBO: Pay Level 10, fixed basic pay of Rs. 56,000 (approx. emoluments Rs. 1,10,000 per month).
• This is a consolidated remuneration — no PF, pension, gratuity, seniority, or promotion benefits apply since this is a contractual role.

Application Fee

• All Other Categories: Rs. 500
• Payment Mode: Demand Draft in favor of "ESI Fund A/c No. 1", payable at Pune
• Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selection Process

Selection for these contract posts happens directly at the walk-in interview:

1. Application Scrutiny: Your application submitted on the day of the interview is checked by the authorized officers/scrutiny committee. Only eligible candidates are allowed before the Selection Board.
2. Screening Test (if needed): If the number of applicants is large, the hospital may introduce a shortlisting criterion, including a screening test, at its discretion.
3. Interview: Selection is based on your performance in the interview before the Selection Board.
4. Medical Fitness: Your selection is subject to being found medically fit.
