Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has released a walk-in interview notice to fill 107 posts of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Senior Resident and Tutor at its Medical College and Hospital in Ludhiana, Punjab. The vacancies are spread across 30 specialities, including Anaesthesia, General Medicine, General Surgery, Radiology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Cardiology. Retired and currently working professors can also apply, and there is no written exam — selection is entirely through a walk-in interview.

The largest number of posts are in Anaesthesia (9), General Medicine (7), Radiology (7), and Obstetrics & Gynaecology (6). These vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease as per actual requirement.

Who Can Apply?

For Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor:

• You need an MD/MS or equivalent qualification in the relevant speciality as per the latest NMC norms.
• For Assistant Professor in Emergency Medicine, an MD/MS in Emergency Medicine, Orthopaedics, Surgery or Anaesthesia with relevant experience is required.

For Senior Resident (3-year residency scheme and 1-year against GDMO):

• You need an MD/MS or DNB in the relevant speciality. Candidates with an MD/MS in a broad speciality can also apply for SR posts in superspeciality departments.
• If no MD/MS candidate is available, MBBS with 2 years of relevant experience will be considered.
• For SR in Emergency Medicine, 2 years of post-MBBS experience (including 1 year in emergency medicine) in Orthopaedics, Surgery or Anaesthesia also qualifies.

For Tutor:

• You must hold an MD in the concerned subject — this post is open only to MD holders.

Your qualifying degree and experience are checked as on the last date of application submission. All candidates must have an updated Medical Registration Certificate (NMC or Punjab Medical Council).

Age Limit

• For teaching faculty (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor/Tutor), your age should not exceed 69 years as on the date of interview.
• For Senior Resident posts, your age should not exceed 45 years as on the date of interview.
• Age Relaxation: As per prevailing Government of India norms for reserved categories.

Salary

• Professor: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 1,23,100 (Level 13) plus allowances, gross salary approx. Rs. 2.5 lakh per month.
• Associate Professor: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 78,800 (Level 12) plus allowances, gross salary approx. Rs. 1.7 lakh per month.
• Assistant Professor / Senior Resident: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 67,700 (Level 11) plus allowances, gross salary approx. Rs. 1.45 lakh per month.
• Tutor: Fixed basic pay of Rs. 56,100 (Level 10) plus allowances, gross salary approx. Rs. 1.2 lakh per month.
• Senior Residents without a full Degree/Diploma will have Rs. 1,350 to Rs. 2,250 deducted from their pay.

Application Fee

• General / All other categories: Rs. 500
• SC / ST / ESIC regular employees / Female candidates / Defence Ex-servicemen / PH candidates: No fee
• Payment mode: Demand Draft in favour of "ESI Fund A/c No. 1", payable at Ludhiana.
• You will also need a security deposit of Rs. 1,00,000 (or Rs. 50,000 for 44-day tenure posts) at the time of joining, which is refundable if you complete the minimum service period.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The selection is done entirely through a walk-in interview:

1. Document Scrutiny: Your eligibility and documents are checked by the Selection Board.
2. Interview: Held before the Selection Board, based on your academic credentials and interview performance.
3. Result: Displayed in the Recruitments section of www.mcludhiana.esic.gov.in.
4. Offer of Appointment: Sent to you through email only.
