AIIMS New Delhi Project Research Scientist-II, Project Coordinator & Project Technical Support-II Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Ansari Nagar, New Delhi, is hiring for a research project titled "Integrating Spatial Transcriptomics and WES to Identify Biomarkers for Oral Cancer Progression" (Project Code N-2679). This project is funded by BFI-BIOME SAMARTH and operates under the Department of Oral Pathology and Microbiology at AIIMS's Centre for Dental Education and Research (CDER). The recruitment covers three distinct roles across medical research and technical support, making it suitable for dental postgraduates as well as diploma holders with laboratory experience.

Who Can Apply?

For Project Research Scientist-II (Medical) - Rs. 1,04,000/month:

• Qualification: You need an M.D.S degree in Oral Pathology and Microbiology from a recognized university.
• Experience: At least 3 years of relevant research or clinical experience after completing your M.D.S.

For Project Coordinator - Rs. 83,300/month:

• Qualification: You need an M.D.S degree in Oral Pathology and Microbiology.
• Experience: No prior experience is required. Freshers with M.D.S can apply.

For Project Technical Support-II - Rs. 26,000/month:

• Option A: 12th pass in Science subjects + Diploma in MLT, DMLT, Engineering, or an equivalent field + 5 years of experience in a relevant area.
• Option B: A 3-year Graduate degree in a relevant subject + 2 years of experience in a related field.

Salary

• Project Research Scientist-II (Medical): Rs. 1,04,000 per month (consolidated)
• Project Coordinator: Rs. 83,300 per month (consolidated)
• Project Technical Support-II: Rs. 26,000 per month (consolidated)

These are consolidated pay amounts. Since these are project-based contractual positions, separate allowances like DA and HRA are not applicable.

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting: AIIMS will review all applications received through the Google Form and shortlist eligible candidates based on their qualifications and experience.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. You will receive the interview schedule via email. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
3. Document Verification: You must bring all original documents (educational certificates, experience letters, identity proof) at the time of joining.

Note: There is no written exam for these positions. Selection is purely based on your qualifications, experience, and performance in the interview.

• Assist in conducting spatial transcriptomics experiments and whole exome sequencing for oral cancer research under the project.
• Prepare and process tissue samples for laboratory analysis, maintaining strict quality control standards.
• Coordinate between different departments and external agencies involved in the BFI-BIOME SAMARTH funded project.
• Maintain detailed records of research data, experiments, and observations in the prescribed format.
• Handle laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration and maintenance of instruments.
• Prepare progress reports, research documentation, and presentations for project reviews.
• Follow ethical guidelines and institutional protocols for all research activities conducted under the project.
