If you have an MBBS / BDS / MD / MS / Ph.D as per NMC norms, you can attend the walk-in interview. There is no written exam — selection is through a walk-in interview held every Thursday during May and June 2026. Fresh and experienced MBBS and post-graduate doctors can apply.

Who Can Apply?

For Senior Resident posts

• Qualification: Post Graduate degree (MD / MS / DNB / Ph.D / M.Sc) in the concerned specialty from a recognised university as per NMC (National Medical Commission) norms.
• Valid registration with the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council is required.
• MBBS internship completion certificate is mandatory.

For Junior Resident posts

• Qualification: MBBS / BDS degree from a recognised institution along with completion of compulsory internship, as per NMC norms.
• Valid registration with the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council is required.

Salary

• Senior Resident: Rs. 90,350 per month (fixed)
• Junior Resident: Rs. 76,600 per month (fixed)
• No T.A. / D.A. will be paid for attending the interview.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Walk-in Interview: Held every Thursday in May and June 2026 from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM at the Office of the Principal, Base Hospital Pithoragarh. Registration closes at 1:00 PM on the day of the interview.
2. Document Verification: Bring all original documents along with one set of photocopies on the day of the interview.

How to Apply

2. Reach the venue between 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM for registration (interview till 5:00 PM).
3. Carry your original documents and one set of photocopies.
4. The following documents must be produced at the time of the interview: Date of Birth certificate (10th standard), MBBS / BDS / M.Sc / MD / MS / Ph.D degree and mark sheets (all years), professional registration certificate, MBBS / BDS internship completion & attempt certificate, Aadhaar card, PAN card, 02 recent colour photographs, and NOC from the last institute if previously joined as SR/JR.
5. Appear for the interview before the selection committee.

• Provide patient care and clinical services in the assigned department at LJRGMC Pithoragarh
• Assist senior consultants during outpatient, inpatient, and emergency duties
• Manage ward rounds, perform routine procedures, and supervise nursing care
• Maintain patient records, case files, and prescribe medication under supervision
• Participate in academic activities, seminars, and teaching of MBBS students
• Perform night duty, on-call duty, and emergency cover as per the duty roster
• Follow hospital protocols, infection control measures, and safety guidelines
