SVP National Police Academy Cameraman Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad has released vacancy circular dated 11 May 2026 for filling up two (02) posts of Cameraman in the Academy on deputation basis. The post is classified as General Central Service, Group-C, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. This is not an open recruitment — applications are accepted only from eligible officers serving in Central Government offices, State Governments, PSUs, or autonomous organisations. Nominations must be routed through proper channel.

Who Can Apply?

You must be a serving officer under the Central Government and meet ONE of these conditions:

• Analogous posts: Officers already holding analogous posts in the parent department, OR
• Five years in Level-4: Officers with five years regular service in posts at Level-4 in the pay matrix, AND
• Educational qualification: Intermediate (12th Standard pass from a recognised board) WITH a diploma in photography from a recognised institute AND two years experience in photography.

Desirable Qualifications

• Diploma in cinematography
• Two years experience in handling Still, Video and Movie Cameras

Special Note for Departmental Candidates

Departmental Studio Attendants with minimum 16 years of regular service in Level-1 of the pay matrix, who possess the required qualifications and experience, will be considered along with outsiders. If selected, their appointment will be treated as filled by promotion.

Age Limit

• Maximum age for appointment by deputation: 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.
• No minimum age specified — the post is on deputation, so you must already be in service.

Salary

• Pay: Level-5 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix (Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month)
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as admissible under Central Government rules from time to time
• Training allowance: Not applicable for this post

Selection Process

Selection is by deputation/promotion — there is no written exam.

1. Screening of nominations: The Academy will screen nominations received through proper channel along with bio-data in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-II).
2. Document Verification: Your bio-data must be duly attested and countersigned by your competent authority, supported by ACRs for the last 5 years (2020-21 to 2024-25), Integrity Certificate, Vigilance Certificate and details of any major/minor penalties for the last 10 years.
3. Final Selection: Based on eligibility, experience, and recommendation of the competent authority.

Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post immediately preceding this appointment shall ordinarily not exceed three years.

• Cover all official activities of the Academy through photography and videography as directed by the Photographic Officer
• Edit captured photos and videos as per the Academy's requirements
• Save photos and videos promptly to the photography unit computer and the central server
• Maintain stores and stock of photography equipment under the Unit In-charge's instructions
• Assist the Photographic Officer in completing assigned tasks and event coverage
• Handle Still, Video and Movie Cameras for the Academy's training and ceremonial events
• Maintain proper records of photo and video archives
