AIIMS Delhi Laboratory Technician Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has invited applications for 2 Laboratory Technician positions (equivalent to Project Technical Support-II) under a research project titled GRASPP (Graded Risk-based Assessment for Screening and Prevention of Placental Disorders), Project Code I-1899. This is a contractual role with an initial appointment of 3 months, extendable up to 6 months based on satisfactory performance. The posting sites are Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi and ESIC Hospital in Faridabad.

Who Can Apply?

Option 1 - Diploma Route:

• Qualification: 12th in Science + Diploma in MLT/DMLT or equivalent
• Experience: 5 years of experience in a relevant subject or field

Option 2 - Graduate Route:

• Qualification: 3-year Graduate degree in a relevant subject or field
• Experience: 2 years of experience in a relevant field

Desirable Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in clinical trials or research projects
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work effectively with co-workers, seniors, and investigators
• Experience handling clinical samples in a research setting
• Good communication skills to interact with study participants

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 30 years
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation (up to 35 years)
• OBC: 3 years relaxation (up to 33 years)

Salary

• You will get a monthly salary of Rs. 20,000 + 30% HRA = Rs. 26,000 per month
• Salary is as per ICMR rules
• No TA/DA will be provided

Selection will be based on interview only:

1. Shortlisting: Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience

• Collect bio specimens and data from enrolled study participants
• Prepare kits and manage the receipt, processing, and storage of clinical samples
• Retrieve and maintain samples while following standard operating procedures
• Prepare common laboratory reagents including buffers and media
• Process specimens as per defined SOPs and follow all safety guidelines
• Record lab test results and fill Case Report Forms accurately
• Handle routine lab tasks such as sterilization, cleaning glassware, and preparing buffers
• Maintain proper documentation for receiving, storing, and retrieving samples
