Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), an autonomous body under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, has released Advertisement No. TMC/AD/40/2026 for 18 full-time positions across medical, scientific, engineering, and technical categories. TMC is India's premier cancer care institution, affiliated with Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI). These are permanent positions across TMC's network of hospitals and cancer centres. Assistant Professor E Posts (Level 12 — Rs. 78,800/month)

• Preventive Oncology: M.D./D.N.B. (Preventive & Social Medicine) or equivalent PG degree + minimum 3 years post M.D./D.N.B. experience in Preventive Oncology/Preventive & Social Medicine/Community Medicine
• Surgical Oncology (GI): M.Ch./Dr.N.B. (Surgical Oncology or Surgical Gastroenterology) or M.S./D.N.B. (General Surgery) + relevant experience (1 year for M.Ch. holders, 3 years for M.S./D.N.B. holders in HPB/Colorectal surgery)
• Nuclear Medicine: M.D./D.N.B. (Nuclear Medicine) + minimum 3 years post M.D./D.N.B. experience in Nuclear Medicine in a Teaching Hospital
• Radio Diagnosis: M.D./D.N.B. (Radiology/Radiodiagnosis) + 3 years post M.D./D.N.B. experience in Radiodiagnosis in a Teaching Hospital
• Pathology: DM (Oncopathology/Haematopathology) OR M.D./D.N.B. (Pathology) + 3 years post M.D./D.N.B. experience in Pathology in a Teaching Hospital
• Breast Surgery: M.Ch./Dr.N.B. (Surgical Oncology/Endocrine Surgery) or M.S./D.N.B. (General Surgery) + relevant experience in Breast Oncology

Consultant D Posts (Level 11 — Rs. 67,700/month)

• Anesthesiology: M.D./D.N.B. (Anesthesia) + minimum 1 year post M.D./D.N.B. experience in Anesthesia in a Teaching Hospital
• General Medicine: M.D./D.N.B. (Internal Medicine) + minimum 1 year experience after post-graduation
• Palliative Medicine: M.D./D.N.B. (Palliative Medicine) OR M.D./D.N.B. (Anesthesiology) + minimum 1 year post M.D./D.N.B. experience in Palliative Medicine in a high-volume hospital or cancer centre

Engineer C — Civil (Level 10 — Rs. 56,100/month)

• Full-time B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering with First Class (4 years after 12th or 3 years after Diploma) from AICTE-approved college/university
• Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in construction and/or maintenance of institutional buildings/complexes with exposure to estimation, budgeting, tendering, site supervision, quality assurance

Scientific Officer D — Health Economics (Level 11 — Rs. 67,700/month)

• Ph.D. in Health Economics/Economics/Public Health, OR MD (Community Medicine or Preventive & Social Medicine), OR MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/Pharm.D with Master of Public Health in Health Economics
• Experience: 1 year (for Ph.D. and MD holders) or 3 years (for MBBS-level qualifications) in teaching/research in Health Economics

Scientific Officer SB — Biochemistry (Level 8 — Rs. 47,600/month)

• M.Sc. (Botany/Zoology/Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biotechnology), preferably with Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
• Minimum 1 year post-PG experience in Clinical Laboratory of a large Hospital/Diagnostic Centre

Scientific Officer C — CSSD (Level 10 — Rs. 56,100/month)

• M.Sc. in Chemistry/Physics/Zoology/Microbiology/Biotechnology with minimum 50% marks
• Minimum 3 years experience in relevant field

Scientific Officer D — Molecular Pathology (Level 11 — Rs. 67,700/month)

• Ph.D. in Life Science/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Genetics/Biochemistry/Zoology/Genomics or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year experience in Molecular Techniques (PCR, sequencing, FISH, bioinformatics) + at least one peer-reviewed publication

Medical Physicist D (Level 11 — Rs. 67,700/month)

• M.Sc. (Physics) and Diploma in Radiological Physics conducted by BARC, OR equivalent AERB-approved qualifications
• 5 years experience in advanced computerized treatment planning systems and state-of-the-art technology

Technician C Posts (Level 4 — Rs. 25,500/month)

• ICU/OT: 12th in Science + Diploma of 1 year/6 months in ICU/OT/Electronics/Dialysis Technician from a recognized institution + 3 years experience in relevant field
• General Medicine: 12th in Science + 3 years experience in ECG

Technician A — Molecular Pathology (Level 2 — Rs. 19,900/month)

• 10+2 in Science + certificate course of 6 months or 1-year diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a reputed institute
• Minimum 1 year experience in relevant field

Age Limit

• Assistant Professor posts: Up to 45 years as on 24 April 2026
• Consultant D and Scientific Officer D posts: Up to 40 years as on 24 April 2026
• Engineer C, Scientific Officer SB/C posts: Up to 35 years as on 24 April 2026
• Technician C posts: Up to 30 years as on 24 April 2026
• Technician A (Molecular Pathology): Up to 27 years as on 24 April 2026
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST — 5 years; OBC — 3 years; PwBD — 10 years (additional 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC); Ex-servicemen — length of service in Armed Forces + 3 years
• TMC employees working on temporary/project/contract basis may get up to 5 years additional relaxation

Salary

• Assistant Professor E (Level 12): Rs. 78,800 per month entry pay
• Consultant D / Scientific Officer D / Medical Physicist D (Level 11): Rs. 67,700 per month entry pay
• Engineer C / Scientific Officer C (Level 10): Rs. 56,100 per month entry pay
• Scientific Officer SB (Level 8): Rs. 47,600 per month entry pay
• Technician C (Level 4): Rs. 25,500 per month entry pay
• Technician A (Level 2): Rs. 19,900 per month entry pay
• Plus DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per TMC/Government of India rules
• All officers are eligible for institutional financial support for active participation in National and International Meetings, Workshops, and Conferences
• Candidates are eligible for performance-based incentives based on individual and institutional performance

Selection Process

The selection method depends on the post applied for:

1. Posts 1 to 11, 14 and 15 (Asst Professor, Consultant, Engineer, Scientific Officers D, Medical Physicist) — Interview Only: Candidates will be shortlisted based on application screening and called for an interview. No written exam.
2. Post 12 (Scientific Officer SB — Biochemistry) — Written Exam + Interview: A Written Examination of 100 MCQ questions for 100 marks based on the respective area of specialization/expertise, followed by an interview for shortlisted candidates.
3. Posts 16 to 18 (Technician C and A) — Written Exam + Skill Test: A Written Examination of 100 MCQ questions for 100 marks based on the area of specialization, followed by a qualifying Skill Test.

Note: The mode of selection (Interview / Written Exam & Interview / Written Exam & Skill Test) may vary based on number of candidates shortlisted/appearing.
