Who Can Apply?

For Senior Resident (Hospital Services)

• Qualification: You need MD/MS/DNB in the concerned specialty, recognized by MCI/NMC/DCI where applicable.
• Examples: CVTS and Trauma Surgery need MS/DNB General Surgery; PMR needs MD/DNB PMR or accepted related qualifications; department-wise qualifications are listed in the SGPGIMS brochure.

For Junior Resident (Non-Academic)

• Qualification: You need MBBS with 1-year internship for Junior Resident posts such as Emergency Medicine, Hepatology including Transplant, and General Hospital streams.
• Hospital Administration: MBBS or BDS with MHA, or 2 years of relevant hospital administration experience in a reputed government medical institute/college, is listed for that stream in the brochure.

Age Limit

• Senior Resident: Upper age limit is 45 years as on the date of interview.
• Junior Resident (Non-Academic): Upper age limit is 30 years. For Hospital Administration Junior Resident, the upper age limit is 33 years.
• Age relaxation: Up to 5 years relaxation may be given to SC/ST/OBC candidates with Uttar Pradesh domicile, widowed/divorced/legally separated women who have not remarried, and disabled/handicapped persons, as per government rules for Senior Resident posts.

Salary

• Senior Resident (Hospital Services): Pay Level 11, Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 plus allowances as per institute rules.
• Junior Resident (Non-Academic): Pay Level 10, Rs. 56,100 per month plus allowances as per institute rules.
• Hostel: Senior Residents and Junior Residents are required to stay on campus and get semi-furnished hostel accommodation as per institute rules.

• All participating candidates need a payment receipt of Rs. 200 in favour of Director SGPGI Academic Account.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The selection will be completed through walk-in verification and interview on 29 May 2026:

1. Document Verification: Report to the office of the concerned department between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM.
2. Walk-in Interview: Attend the interview at School of Telemedicine, Second Floor, SGPGIMS, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
3. Medical Examination: Selected doctors must be declared medically fit by the institute medical board before joining.
4. Joining: Appointment letter is sent by email, and selected candidates must join within 7 days of receiving it.

4. Report to the concerned department at SGPGIMS Lucknow between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM on 29 May 2026.
5. Carry all originals and two sets of photocopies for verification.
6. After verification, attend the interview at the School of Telemedicine Auditorium.
7. If selected, watch your email for the appointment letter and complete joining within 7 days.
