IGRUA Visiting Faculty Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA), the flying training academy of the Ministry of Civil Aviation at Fursatganj Airfield, Amethi (Uttar Pradesh), is looking for Visiting Faculty to teach individual subjects in its B.Sc. Aviation and B.Sc. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) programmes. Each position covers one subject or set of modules for a single semester, and you are paid per hour of teaching rather than a monthly salary.

The big difference between the two programmes is where you teach. All B.Sc. Aviation (Semester II) subjects are taught only online, so you can take them from anywhere in India, while the B.Sc. AME (Semesters I and III) subjects are offline classes on the IGRUA campus. Working aviation professionals and teachers with a relevant Master's degree are both a good fit.

• Aviation Safety (B.Sc. Aviation, Sem II, online): Modules 1 and 3.
• Aviation Security (B.Sc. Aviation, Sem II, online): Modules 4 to 7.
• Aviation Management (B.Sc. Aviation, Sem II, online): Modules 1 and 4 plus Modules 2 and 3.
• Environmental Science (B.Sc. Aviation, Sem II, online): Modules 5 to 8.
• Mathematics (B.Sc. AME, Sem I, on campus): a full three-credit course.
• Introduction to Computers (B.Sc. AME, Sem I, on campus): suits a Computer Science, Computer Applications or IT postgraduate.
• Quality and Safety Management System (B.Sc. AME, Sem III, on campus): expertise in aviation quality and safety management is desirable.
• Approval of Maintenance Organisations, CAMO and CAR 145 (B.Sc. AME, Sem III, on campus): best suited to someone who has passed Module 10 and holds the technical licence or credentials for the subject.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nature of engagement: The appointment is purely part-time and visiting. It gives no right to a regular post, absorption or the benefits of contractual staff.
• Online teaching skills: For the B.Sc. Aviation subjects, the ability to run classes and assessments on online platforms is mandatory, not just desirable.
• Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply.
• Interviews: Interviews are held online as needed, and the link reaches your email a day before. Only shortlisted candidates are called.
• Joining conditions: Appointment depends on document verification and medical fitness.
• Process changes: IGRUA can cancel, restrict or change the recruitment without giving reasons, and courts in Lucknow alone handle any dispute.
