Who Can Apply?

• Medical Qualification: A recognised medical qualification (MBBS) included in the First or Second Schedule, or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 (now National Medical Commission Act 2019).
• Postgraduate Qualification: Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in Anesthesia as mentioned in Section-A or Section-B of Schedule-VI.
• Experience: 3 years experience in the concerned specialty (Anesthesia) after obtaining the postgraduate diploma.
• Domicile: Only domiciles of Uttar Pradesh are eligible for this backlog reservation post.
• Category: Reserved for OBC candidates from Uttar Pradesh.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 50 years (as on 1 January 2026)
• Minimum age: 18 years
• SC/ST/OBC Relaxation: Upper age limit relaxation as per Uttar Pradesh Government rules.
• Permanent UP Government Employees: Age relaxation up to 5 years if rendered 3+ years regular service in the relevant field.
• Ex-Servicemen: Period of military service deductible from actual age (resultant age should not exceed maximum by more than 3 years), as per UP Government rules dated 16-3-1970.

Salary

• Pay Level: Level-11 (7th CPC Pay Matrix)
• Pay Range: Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month
• Plus DA, HRA and other allowances as per SGPGIMS / UP Government rules.

Selection Process

Selection will be done in these stages:

1. Application Screening: All applications will be reviewed for eligibility and required documents.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview in order of merit. There is no written exam — selection is purely interview-based.
3. Document Verification: Originals of all certificates will be verified.
4. Medical Examination: Selected candidates must clear a medical examination as per SGPGIMS rules.

• Maintain accurate medical records and anesthesia charts for each case
• Follow institutional protocols, infection control and patient safety guidelines
• Train junior doctors and assist in academic activities of the department
• Participate in clinical audits, hospital committees and on-call duty roster
