RGCB JRF HPV Study Recruitment 2026: Overview
BRIC-Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB) is recruiting a Junior Research Fellow for a project in Dr. Devasena Anantharaman’s laboratory in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The work belongs to the International Agency for Research on Cancer–World Health Organization (IARC-WHO) project studying human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination in India. The study compares different dose schedules of the quadrivalent HPV vaccine to assess protection against cervical neoplasia. Your appointment would be linked to this research project, with continuation governed by the project’s duration and your performance.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Initial appointment: The engagement starts with a one-year term, but it can end sooner if the project ends. You should therefore treat the stated term as subject to the project continuing.
- Extension: RGCB may extend the engagement after evaluating your performance. An extension is conditional, rather than an automatic continuation of the initial appointment.
- Project-linked service: The position ends when the project ends. This condition continues to apply even if your engagement has been extended following a performance review.
- Future employment: Taking up this fellowship gives you no entitlement to another position at RGCB. The notice applies this condition to both permanent positions and other future appointments.
- Government employees: If you currently work in a government organisation, your application must go through the proper channel. Keep this employer-related requirement in mind when arranging your application.
- Application format: RGCB will reject applications that do not follow its prescribed format. If you also apply for another advertised position, use a separate application form for that position; one form does not cover multiple roles.
