Pawan Hans Limited (PHL), India's national helicopter carrier and a Mini-Ratna Government of India Enterprise, has released a notification to fill 22 vacancies at its Northern Region office in Delhi. One post (Assistant HR&A) is on a regular basis and the rest are on a contractual basis. The biggest opening is for 13 Trainee Technician posts, which are open to freshers with the right diploma or AME course. Experienced graduates and diploma holders in HR, Civil, and Aviation fields can apply for the remaining posts.

Total: 22 posts. All posts are based at the Northern Region, Delhi, but selected candidates may be transferred anywhere in India or abroad.

Who Can Apply?

Assistant (HR&A) — Regular & Contractual

  • Graduate in any discipline with 3 years post-qualification experience in the relevant field, OR MBA / PG Degree / 2-year Diploma in HR/HRM/HRD/PM & IR with 1 year experience.

Junior Engineer (Civil)

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering with 5 years post-qualification experience in estimates, Bill of Quantity (BoQ), tenders, and civil maintenance. Computer knowledge is preferred.

Quality Assistant

  • Diploma in AME / Aeronautical, or B.Sc in Aviation, with 3 years aviation experience in Quality (CAR-145).

Assistant (CAMO)

  • Diploma in AME / Aeronautical, or B.Sc in Aviation, with 3 years aviation experience in CAMO.

Station-in-Charge

  • Graduate in any discipline with 3 years experience, OR PG Degree / 2-year Diploma in Marketing/Finance/Aviation with 1 year experience.

Trainee Technician (Freshers can apply)

  • Diploma in Mechanical / Aeronautical / Electronics / Electrical / Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation, OR an AME course from a DGCA-recognised institute, OR an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course in B1.3 or B2 category. Preference is given to B2 category and DGCA module holders.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 28 years (as on 10 July 2026) for Assistant, Junior Engineer, Quality Assistant, CAMO, and Station-in-Charge posts.
  • Maximum age: 25 years (as on 10 July 2026) for the Trainee Technician post.
  • Age Relaxation: As per Government of India directives for reserved categories.

Salary

  • Assistant (HR&A), Quality Assistant, CAMO, Station-in-Charge: Basic pay Rs. 24,000 plus DA, HRA and other perks. Approx. CTC about Rs. 5.83 lakh per year.
  • Junior Engineer (Civil): Basic pay Rs. 27,000 plus DA, HRA and other perks. Approx. CTC about Rs. 5.91 lakh per year.
  • Trainee Technician: Rs. 16,500 per month (all inclusive).
  • For regular and most contractual posts, PF, Gratuity, Pension and Leave Encashment benefits also apply as per rules.

Selection Process

Selection is done in these steps:

  1. Shortlisting: Pawan Hans shortlists candidates who rank high on the eligibility criteria. Only shortlisted candidates are called for the test.
  2. Written Test / Selection Test: Shortlisted candidates appear for a test as decided by the management.
  3. Document Verification: You must produce all original documents (qualification, experience, pay/CTC, reservation, etc.) at the time of the test.
  4. Medical Fitness: All appointments are subject to medical fitness as per PHL rules.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the duties of the specific post — HR & admin, civil maintenance, aircraft quality, CAMO, station operations, or technical maintenance
  • Handle records, reports, and documentation for the assigned department
  • Assist senior officers and engineers in day-to-day operations
  • Follow DGCA, CAR-145, and PHL safety and quality rules for aviation posts
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and station facilities in good condition
  • Prepare estimates, tenders, or maintenance records where the post requires
  • Support smooth helicopter operations at the assigned base or station

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Graduate in any discipline or relevant Diploma (Civil/AME/Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical) depending on the post; freshers eligible for Trainee Technician

Preferred Qualification

MBA/PG in HR for Assistant; AME B2 category and DGCA modules for Trainee Technician; computer knowledge for JE Civil

Required Skills

Post-specific skills in HR, civil engineering, aviation quality/CAMO, station operations, or aircraft maintenance
