NTA (National Testing Agency) is hiring 1 General Manager - Candidate Experience & Public Communication (GM-CXC) at its Head Office in New Delhi on a contract basis. If you have a Master's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or an allied field with at least 12 years of experience, you can apply by email. National Testing Agency (NTA) General Manager - Candidate Experience & Public Communication Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The National Testing Agency, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, has released a notification to engage 1 General Manager for Candidate Experience & Public Communication on contract. NTA conducts major national exams like JEE (Main), NEET (UG), UGC-NET and CUET for crores of candidates every year, and this role will head the agency's candidate-facing experience, transparency and public-communication function — from the multilingual helpdesk to media relations and crisis communication. Candidates with a senior background in communications, public relations or customer experience are encouraged to apply. As GM-CXC, you will report directly to the Director General and will be NTA's senior-most public-facing officer after the DG, owning everything from the candidate journey (registration to result) to NTA's social media presence, RTI compliance and crisis communication during sensitive periods.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: Master's degree or Post-Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Public Policy, Marketing, MBA or an allied discipline; a Bachelor's degree is essential.
  • Experience: Minimum 12 years of post-qualification experience in customer experience, public communication, public relations, customer operations or corporate communications.
  • Seniority: At least 5 years of this experience must be at a senior leadership level, such as Head of Communications, Head of Customer Experience or Head of Public Affairs.
  • Language: You need excellent command of English and Hindi (written and spoken). Knowledge of additional Indian languages is an advantage.

Age Limit

  • You should preferably be below 55 years as on the last date of application.
  • Age Relaxation: May be considered for exceptional candidates as per NTA norms.

Salary

  • You will get a consolidated monthly remuneration, decided by the competent authority based on your qualifications, experience and industry benchmarks. The package is negotiable for exceptional candidates.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

  1. Shortlisting: Based on your qualifications, experience and suitability for the role.
  2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates appear before a Selection Committee, with an option to present on candidate-experience and communication strategy.

NTA reserves the right to fix suitable shortlisting criteria and limit the number of candidates called for interview. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final and binding.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own NTA's candidate experience strategy and roadmap across every examination cycle
  • Map and redesign the end-to-end candidate journey from registration to result and grievance closure
  • Lead omni-channel candidate communication across portal, email, SMS, IVR, WhatsApp and social media
  • Build and operate a 24x7 multilingual helpdesk with strong service-level standards
  • Manage end-to-end grievance redressal and complaint resolution for candidates
  • Own public-information products like Information Bulletins, FAQs and Public Notices
  • Manage NTA's media relations and lead communication during crisis situations
  • Build, lead and mentor an in-house Communication and Candidate Experience team

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Master's degree/PG Diploma in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Public Policy, Marketing, MBA or an allied discipline (Bachelor's degree essential)

Preferred Qualification

Experience in a regulated public-trust environment, omni-channel CX design, multilingual helpdesk operations or crisis communication

Required Skills

Outstanding written and oral communication, stakeholder management, multi-disciplinary team leadership

Age Limit

18 - 55 years
