NCH Deputy Secretary and Section Officer Recruitment 2026: Overview

The National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) is filling four kinds of administrative and legal posts at its office in Janakpuri, New Delhi. Every post is offered on deputation, so this drive is meant for officers who already hold a regular job in the Central Government, a State Government, a Union Territory, a public sector undertaking, a university, a recognised research institute or an autonomous or statutory body. If you work in the private sector or are a fresh graduate, this notice is not for you. If you handle accounts, administration, establishment or legal work in a government office and want a stint in the capital, it is worth a close read.

Posts and Disciplines

• Deputy Secretary: a Group A post in the General Central Service and a selection post. It suits officers with a long record in accounts, administration or establishment work who already hold an analogous post or have the required years in the grade just below.
• Deputy Legal Adviser: the only legal post in this notice, also Group A. You need a law degree and hands-on experience of legal and legislative matters; a Master's in law shortens the experience you need compared with a Bachelor's in law.
• Under Secretary: a Group A selection post on the administrative side, open to officers holding an analogous post or with the required regular service in the feeder grade.
• Section Officer: a Group B selection post for officers who supervise office work, again with an accounts, administration or establishment background.

For every post, the notice sets two tests: a service condition (an analogous regular post, or a set number of years in the lower grade) and an educational condition (a degree plus years of relevant work). Check the qualification field for the exact years each post needs.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Deputation only: officers of NCH's own feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion cannot apply for deputation, and a deputationist will not be considered for promotion.
• Tenure: the deputation period ordinarily does not go beyond three years, and any ex-cadre deputation you held just before this one counts towards that limit.
• Age cut-off: the upper age limit is checked on the closing date for receipt of applications, not on the date of the advertisement.
• Certificate check: your essential and desirable qualifications and experience will be verified against the original certificates.
• Incomplete forms: NCH can reject an incomplete application without giving any reason, so send every paper the notice asks for.
• Nationality: only Indian nationals can apply.
