NITW Software Engineer Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Institute of Technology Warangal (NITW) is hiring a Software Engineer or Programmer for a sponsored research project in its Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The project is titled "Security Analysis of Software Systems" and is led by Dr. Sangharatna Godboley as Principal Investigator, with Prof. P. Radha Krishna as Co-Principal Investigator.

This is a one-year project post, and the work mixes research with product development. If you write code well and want hands-on experience in program analysis and software security, this role puts you on a live research problem inside an NIT lab.

Any UG or PG degree meets the basic bar, but the project team prefers people from Computer Science and Engineering or an allied branch. Good programming skills and a basic grasp of software engineering will help your application stand out.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Temporary post: The position is purely temporary and tied to the research project.
• Stricter shortlisting: If many people apply, the committee can set higher criteria to shortlist. It may also offer you a lower position and pay if you do not meet the minimum experience.
• In-person round: Shortlisted candidates must attend the written test/interview offline at NIT Warangal.
• Travel costs: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
• Shortlist updates: The shortlist is posted on the NIT Warangal website, and you will also be told by email or phone.
• Joining: The selected candidate must join immediately, so apply only if you can start at short notice.
