National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal) is hiring a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a research project funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF). The project, titled “Utilization of Cerium Oxide Derived from Critical Mineral Waste for Development of Multifunctional Insulation Coatings”, is led by Prof. Shirish H. Sonawane as Principal Investigator, with Prof. Anjana P A of the Department of Chemical Engineering as Co-Principal Investigator.

This is a project-based, purely temporary fellowship that runs for the project's three-year term. Your work centres on nanoparticle synthesis and coatings, turning mineral waste into a useful insulating material. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Temporary position: The fellowship is purely temporary and tied to the ANRF project.
• GATE/NET rule: GATE or NET holders get preference. If you have neither, you must appear for the national-level examination NIT Warangal conducts for PhD admission.
• PhD registration: You may register for a PhD as per institute rules, but you still have to apply when the institute's PhD admission advertisement is open.
• Campus stay: HRA follows institute rules, and you can also use the on-campus hostel and mess, subject to availability.
• Interview mode: Shortlisted candidates face an interview that may be online or offline; for an online interview you need a good internet connection.
• No travel allowance: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
• Shortlist: The shortlist goes up on the institute website, and you will also be informed by email or phone.
