New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) Assistant Manager (Finance) Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA), a major port under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, has announced 2 vacancies for Assistant Manager (Finance) on a contract basis in its Finance Department at Panambur, Mangalore. This is a 2-year contract that can be extended based on organizational needs and mutual consent. Selection will be through interview only — there is no written exam. Qualified CAs and CMAs with corporate accounting or audit experience should apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must be a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of India (ICMAI).
• Experience: You need at least 6 months of post-qualification experience in Corporate Accounts or Audit.
• Health: You should be in good health condition as per NMPA requirements.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 30 years as on 01 March 2026 (first day of the month in which applications were invited).

Salary

• You will receive a consolidated salary of Rs. 70,000 per month.
• An annual increment of 5% of consolidated pay will be given after completion of one year based on satisfactory performance.
• Medical Facility: Limited OPD medical consultation at NMPA for self, spouse and children.
• Accommodation: Port accommodation available at Rs. 5,000 per month (subject to availability). Water and electricity charges are extra.
• Leave: Casual leave at 1.25 days per completed calendar month.
• Working Hours: Standard office hours with Saturday and Sunday off. You may need to work extra hours during busy periods without additional pay.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be done through a single stage:

1. Interview: Candidates who meet the qualification and experience requirements will be shortlisted and called for interview. The date, time and venue will be communicated through email and the NMPA website.
2. Document Verification: You must bring original documents at the time of interview for verification.

2. Fill in the application form completely with percentage of marks scored in all exams.
3. Attach self-attested copies of all qualification and experience certificates.
4. Affix a recent passport-size photograph on the application form.

Note: If your marksheet shows CGPA grading, you must convert it to percentage as per your university's criteria. Wrong percentage will disqualify your candidature.

• Handle scrutiny of General Ledger, Vendor Accounts and reconciliation of deposits and advances related to works and contingent bills
• Prepare monthly accounts and final accounts for the port authority
• Manage billing for services, GST compliance, income tax matters and trust accounts
• Coordinate with tax advisors on taxation and compliance matters
• Prepare bills, issue receipts and monitor bank reconciliation statements
• Follow up on recovery and reconciliation of various employee advances
• Assist in budget preparation, cost statements and tariff computation
• Prepare periodical reports for the Ministry and other authorities and respond to audit queries
