IPRCL Manager (Electrical) Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Port Rail & Ropeway Corporation Limited (IPRCL) needs a retired electrical officer as Manager (Electrical) at Toranagallu in Karnataka. IPRCL is a joint venture of 11 Major Ports and Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, set up to build rail evacuation systems that raise the cargo capacity of India's major ports.

The post comes under Vacancy Circular RE-31/2026 and is a re-employment engagement on an annual contract. It is part of a larger batch of re-employment circulars IPRCL issued on the same day for project, traffic and signalling roles across its sites. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Retired officers only: You must have retired on superannuation or taken VR from the Railways, another government department, a central PSU, a port or a government-controlled joint venture company, with service experience in executing infrastructure projects.
• Field experience: The circular asks for working experience in Railway Electric Traction projects, general power supply projects, air conditioning, building electrification and road lighting.
• Retirement grade: You must have retired at the grade the circular sets for your pay system (CDA or IDA). Higher grade pay or scales given under ACP, MACP or NFU are not counted.
• Contract term: The contract is renewed year by year and can be extended based on your performance and the company's needs.
• Shortlisting: If 5 or more qualified applicants apply for the vacancy, IPRCL may shortlist in a 1:5 ratio based on relevant experience before the interview.
• Service rules: Appointment follows the IPRCL Service and Conduct, Discipline and Appeal Rules.
• Changes to the circular: IPRCL can change the number of posts or cancel the circular at any stage. Updates are posted only on the IPRCL website.
• Jurisdiction and conduct: Disputes fall only under the courts in Mumbai, and any canvassing disqualifies you.
