NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a premier Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Government of India, has announced recruitment for 8 Mining Statutory positions (Group C) at its Barsingsar Project in Rajasthan. This includes 3 Junior Overman (Trainee) vacancies in S1 Grade and 5 Mining Sirdar (Selection Grade-I) vacancies in SG1 Grade. All posts are for Barsingsar Project, Rajasthan. However, selected candidates may be posted at any NLC India unit in India or abroad.

Who Can Apply?

For Junior Overman (Trainee) - S1 Grade:

• Qualification: Diploma in Mining or Mining Engineering (or equivalent approved by the Central Government)
• Certificate: Valid Overman's Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS under Coal Mines Regulation 2017 or any equivalent certificate in Mining
• First Aid: Valid First Aid Certificate

For Mining Sirdar (Selection Grade-I) - SG1 Grade:

Option 1:

• Diploma or Degree in any subject other than Mining Engineering
• Mining Sirdar Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS
• Valid First Aid Certificate

Option 2:

• Diploma in Mining
• Overman Competency Certificate issued by DGMS
• Valid First Aid Certificate

Minimum qualifying marks in educational qualification: 60% for UR/OBC-NCL, 50% for SC/ST candidates against reserved posts. Only Indian Nationals are eligible.

Local/regional language proficiency (Hindi) is required. You need to provide SSLC/10th Standard/Matriculation certificate as proof of having studied the local language.

Age Limit

• S1 Grade (Junior Overman): UR - 30 years, OBC - 33 years, SC - 35 years, ST - 30 years
• SG1 Grade (Mining Sirdar): UR - 30 years, OBC - 33 years, SC - 35 years, ST - 35 years
• Age is calculated as on 01 February 2026
• Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) as per Government of India guidelines
• Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation as per Government of India guidelines, maximum age limit is 58 years
• Upper age limit does not apply to employees on the rolls of NLCIL or its subsidiary/joint venture companies who have minimum 2 years of remaining service.

Salary

• Junior Overman (Trainee) - S1 Grade: Rs. 31,000 to Rs. 1,00,000 per month (CTC approximately Rs. 8.64 Lakhs per annum)
• Mining Sirdar (SG-I) - SG1 Grade: Rs. 26,000 to Rs. 1,10,000 per month (CTC approximately Rs. 7.25 Lakhs per annum)
• In addition to CTC, you will get benefits under the Unified Incentive Scheme, free medical treatment for self and dependents, and Group Insurance
• Eligible type of residential accommodation (unfurnished) will be provided at standard rent in company townships, subject to availability

Application Fee

• Junior Overman (Trainee):
  • UR / OBC (NCL): Rs. 595 (Rs. 300 application fee + Rs. 295 processing fee incl. 18% GST)
  • SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen: Rs. 295 (processing fee only, application fee exempted)
• Mining Sirdar (SG-I):
  • UR / OBC (NCL): Rs. 486 (Rs. 250 application fee + Rs. 236 processing fee incl. 18% GST)
  • SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen: Rs. 236 (processing fee only, application fee exempted)
• Payment Mode: Online through SBI Collect
• Fee is non-refundable. Bank service charges may apply additionally.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Written Test (100 Marks): The question paper will have 100 objective MCQs in two parts. Part-I covers 30 questions on General Aptitude (Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and General Awareness at Diploma level). Part-II covers 70 questions on Subject Knowledge. Each question carries equal marks with no negative marking. Duration is 120 minutes. The paper will be in English language only. Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for UR/OBC-NCL and 40% for SC/ST candidates. Project Affected Persons (PAPs) of Barsingsar get 20 bonus marks.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates based on written test merit will be called for verification of original documents and certificates.

In case of a tie at the cut-off, the senior-most candidate by date of birth gets preference, followed by alphabetical order of first name.

How to Apply

2. Register yourself on the online application portal with a valid mobile number and active email ID.
3. Fill in the online application form carefully for the desired post.
4. Upload scanned copies of your photograph (passport size, 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, JPEG, max 50 KB), signature (dark blue or black ink, JPEG, max 50 KB), and all required certificates in prescribed format.
5. Pay the application fee online through SBI Collect.
6. Verify all uploaded documents using the "View Document" option, then submit the application.
7. Take a printout of the completed application form for future reference.

If you are applying for both posts, you must submit separate applications and pay separate fees for each post. The last registered application per post will be considered.

• Supervise and manage daily mining operations in lignite or coal mines following safety regulations
• Monitor blasting, drilling, and excavation activities to ensure compliance with DGMS norms
• Maintain statutory records and registers as required under the Mines Act and Coal Mines Regulations
• Conduct regular inspections of mine workings, ventilation systems, and safety equipment
• Report hazardous conditions to senior officials and implement corrective measures immediately
• Guide and supervise the work of mine workers and ensure proper use of protective gear
• Assist in preparing shift reports, production logs, and compliance documentation
