AIIMS Jodhpur Project Research Scientist-III Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur is looking for a Project Research Scientist-III (Non-Medical) to lead the field work of an ICMR-funded research project titled "Integrated Health Model for Pulmonary Rehabilitation in COPD and Pneumoconiosis in Jodhpur". The project sits in the Department of Community Medicine & Family Medicine under Principal Investigator Dr. Pankaja Ravi Raghav, Professor and Head of the department.

This is the senior-most research role on the project. You will run and supervise all research activities, from enrolling patients with lung disease to training staff and handling the budget. Selection is through a walk-in interview at the AIIMS campus in Jodhpur, so there is no online form to fill.

The role suits a postgraduate with solid research experience or a PhD holder who has worked on community-based health projects. Experience with leadership, budgets, data management and the local language is listed as desirable, which matters because the work involves bringing patients from the community to the hospital.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The first appointment is for one year and may be extended by one more year based on your performance.
• Project-linked: The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. It gives no right to a permanent job at AIIMS Jodhpur or a move to another project.
• Consolidated pay: The monthly amount is a consolidated sum without other benefits, fixed on the basis of your experience, qualifications and skills.
• Screening test: If many candidates turn up, AIIMS may hold a screening or scrutiny test before the interview.
• Experience counting: Only experience gained after the minimum qualification counts, and all degrees must be full-time from a recognised board or university.
• Government employees: If you work in a government department or PSU, bring a No Objection Certificate to the interview.
• Age concession: Service in other research projects may earn you an age concession on a case-to-case basis, as this is an ICMR project.
• Post count: The number of posts may go up or down at the discretion of the Principal Investigator.
• Travel costs: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

• Lead the overall conduct, coordination and supervision of all project research activities
• Recruit study participants and run the implementation phase of the project
• Plan and deliver training programmes for staff, doctors and other stakeholders
• Arrange patient transport to AIIMS Jodhpur and help with investigations and hospital procedures
• Coordinate the start of interventions as per protocol, including buying, stocking and storing study medicines
• Keep project records, handle data entry and carry out statistical analysis
• Write project reports and manage the project budget
