AIIMS Jodhpur Project Nurse III Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur is hiring a Project Nurse III (Project Staff Nurse) for its Department of Neonatology. The post sits under an ICMR-funded extramural research project that tests whether a point-of-care automated blood culture system can cut antibiotic use in newborn intensive care units (NICUs). The study is a multicentric randomized controlled trial led by Dr Sushil Choudhary, Associate Professor of Neonatology.

This is a walk-in interview for a contractual project post, not a permanent AIIMS job. It suits registered nurses who have worked in neonatal care or NICU settings and are comfortable with sample collection, sterile procedures and clinical-trial paperwork — that experience is listed as desirable, not essential.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The first term is six months. It can be extended depending on the project's needs, available funds and your performance review.
• Co-terminus with the project: The job ends with the project, and you get no right to claim permanent employment at AIIMS Jodhpur or a place in any other project.
• Shift duty: You must be willing to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays, as the project needs.
• Fixed pay: Pay is a consolidated amount under ICMR project staff norms; apart from HRA, no other allowances or benefits apply.
• Leave: Leave follows the ICMR, institute or project rules that apply.
• Screening test: If many candidates turn up, AIIMS may hold a written or screening test to shortlist people for the final interview.
• Qualifications: All degrees must be full-time and from a recognised board or university, and experience counts only after you earned the minimum qualification.
• Government employees: If you work in a government office or public sector undertaking, bring a No Objection Certificate to the interview.
• No TA/DA: You will not get travel or daily allowance for attending, and canvassing in any form leads to disqualification.
• Post count: The number of posts can go up or down at the Principal Investigator's discretion.
• Extra work: No additional pay is given for finishing pending work after the approved contract period, unless project or institute rules specifically approve it.
