KSSM Medical Officer Recruitment 2026: Overview

Kerala Social Security Mission (KSSM) is hiring a Medical Officer for the Mittayi Project, a Government of Kerala scheme run by the Social Justice Department. Mittayi gives complete care to children and teenagers living with Type-1 diabetes across Kerala, and KSSM guides the scheme from its office in Thiruvananthapuram.

This is a contract job, not a permanent post. The work is less about running an OPD and more about running the programme: you keep track of every child enrolled, check new applications that come in through the Mittayi Software, and keep the Mittayi Clinics at medical college hospitals and satellite centres working smoothly. If you are an MBBS doctor who enjoys coordination, data and follow-up work with families, this role fits well.

KSSM says the post is for an immediate requirement, so expect shortlisting and selection to move quickly once applications close.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: You sign a contract agreement with KSSM and work on consolidated pay for one year from your joining date. KSSM may extend the contract based on your performance, integrity and the mission's needs.
• Kerala registration: Your MBBS must be backed by TCMC registration; you confirm this in the declaration printed on the application form.
• Selection basis: KSSM looks at your qualification and any experience, plus a written test, an interview or both, as it decides.
• Experience proof: Offer letters, appointment orders and salary slips do not count as proof of experience. Attach proper experience certificates instead.
• Originals: Carry your original certificates to the interview, or whenever KSSM asks for them.
• Travel costs: No TA/DA is paid for attending the written test or interview.
• Incomplete forms: An application missing details or supporting copies is left out of shortlisting, with no further communication.
