AIIMS Jodhpur Scientist C Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur is hiring a Scientist C for the DHR-ICMR Advanced Molecular Oncology Diagnostic Services (DIAMOnDS) project, a pilot research project under HTA In. The project is funded by DHR-ICMR and runs in the Department of Pathology & Lab. Medicine under Principal Investigator Dr. Poonam Elhence, Professor and Head of the department.

This is a temporary project post filled by walk-in interview, so there is no online form. The work centres on molecular cancer diagnostics, which is why the notice looks for a background in Molecular Biology, Genetics or Medical Biochemistry and a working knowledge of histopathology techniques. If you have a PhD or an M.Sc in these areas and want hands-on oncology diagnostics work at an AIIMS, this is a good fit.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tied to the project: The post is purely temporary and ends with the project. You get no claim to permanent employment at AIIMS Jodhpur or to a place in any other project.
• Consolidated pay: The salary is a consolidated sum with no other benefits, decided by your experience, qualifications and skill set.
• PhD counts as experience: A PhD in a relevant subject is treated as three years of experience, and candidates with a PhD or M.Sc are preferred.
• Experience timing: Only experience gained after the minimum qualification counts, and all qualifications must be full-time from a recognised board or university.
• Age concession: Service in other research projects may earn an age concession on a case-to-case basis (applies only to ICMR projects).
• Language: Being able to read, write and speak English and Hindi is listed as desirable.
• Government employees: If you work in a government office or PSU, bring a No Objection Certificate to the interview.
• Other rules: There is no TA/DA for the interview, and canvassing in any form leads to disqualification.
