IDSJ Research Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Institute of Development Studies, Jaipur (IDSJ) needs a Research Assistant for a short research study on how Rajasthan performs on energy efficiency. The study is titled "Boosting and Improving the Rajasthan State Energy Efficiency Index: An Exploration into Intervention from Better-Performing States". Put simply, the team will look at where Rajasthan falls behind on the energy efficiency index and what it can learn from states that score better.

This is a project-based, fixed-term position, not a regular government post. You will work with the IDSJ team at Jhalana Institutional Area, Jaipur, and field visits and stakeholder interviews are a big part of the job, along with desk work on data and reports.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The position runs for six months only and is tied to the research study.
