IIM Mumbai Junior Sports Associate Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Management Mumbai (IIM Mumbai) is hiring Junior Sports Associates to help run sports and fitness life on its Powai campus beside Vihar Lake. You will be the hands-on support behind the Institute's coaches, intra-campus tournaments and student sports schedules.

This is a fixed-term contractual role, not a permanent Institute post. You may be engaged directly on an Institute contract or through an outsourcing agency empanelled by IIM Mumbai. Any graduate can apply, but people who have organised sports events, worked in sports administration, or played Olympic sports disciplines at national or international level get preference.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract tenure: The first engagement is for one year. It can be extended based on your performance and the Institute's needs, and the contract is reviewed every year.
• Three-month check: Your performance is evaluated after three months of joining, and you continue only if you meet the set benchmarks.
• No regularisation: The job is purely contractual, so you cannot claim regularisation or absorption into the Institute later.
• Work week: You work six days a week, including Saturday and Sunday plus four weekdays. You get one day off in place of Sunday, taken on the Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday of the following week.
• Shift duty: Duty runs in two shifts: 6:00 AM to 12:00 noon or 4:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Expect early mornings and late evenings, when students actually play.
• Leave: Casual leave is 1.5 days per month.
• Shortlisting: Meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee an interview call. IIM Mumbai can limit the shortlist on the basis of higher qualifications or experience.
• Post count can change: The Institute may increase or reduce the number of posts, or decide not to fill them at all.
• Reserved categories: NC-OBC, SC, ST and PwD applicants must upload a valid category certificate signed by the competent authority. The Central Government list as on the last date of application applies, and you cannot change your category later.
• Jurisdiction: Any legal dispute falls only under the courts in Mumbai.
• Canvassing: Any form of canvassing leads to disqualification.
