National Institute of Technology Raipur Project Associate-I Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

National Institute of Technology Raipur (NIT Raipur), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, has notified a Project Associate-I position in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The project title is Next Generation Data Carving and Preservation Techniques for Storage Drive Forensics, sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. This role is a good fit for candidates interested in Digital Forensics, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech route: You need B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Digital Forensics, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Computer Application or an equivalent field.
• Marks requirement: You need at least 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA. Reserved category candidates need 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA.
• PG route: You can also apply with M.E./M.Tech in CSE, Cyber Security or Digital Forensics, or with MCA.
• Extra proof: If you have GATE/CSIR-UGC NET qualification, publication proof or relevant work experience, keep the documents ready because the application format asks for these details.

Preferred Skills

• Digital Forensics: Hands-on knowledge of storage drive forensics and data carving will help.
• Cyber Security: Practical cyber security exposure is preferred.
• AI/ML: Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning and artificial intelligence is desirable.
• Development: Full-stack software development and Python skills will be given preference.

Salary

• Monthly fellowship: Rs. 30,000 per month
• Allowances: HRA is payable as mentioned in the notification
• Duration: The position is initially up to 31 December 2026, with possible extension till 31 March 2027 from the date of joining, based on satisfactory performance.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on shortlisting and interview; no written exam is mentioned in the notice. You should prepare your project-fit areas such as digital forensics, cyber security, AI/ML, Python and software development.

2. Shortlisting: The project team will shortlist candidates based on qualification, skills and project relevance.
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview on 24 June 2026 from 11:00 AM onwards at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, NIT Raipur.

No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview. The appointment is purely temporary and depends on project needs and performance.
