For SAS Assistant (Post 1 — Level 6):

  • Qualification: First Class Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from a recognised University or Institution.
  • Additional Requirement: You should have a strong record of participation in sports and co-curricular activities (drama, music, films, painting, photography, journalism, event management, or other student activities) during your college or university studies.

For Technician — Civil Engineering (Post 2 — Level 3):

  • Option 1: Senior Secondary (10+2) with Science from a recognised board with at least 60% marks.
  • Option 2: Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks + ITI Certificate (1 year or more) in Civil Engineering.
  • Option 3: Secondary (10th) with at least 60% marks + ITI Certificate of 2 years in Civil Engineering.
  • Option 4: Diploma in Civil Engineering of 3 years from a recognised Government Polytechnic or Institute.
  • Category: Reserved for SC candidates only.

Age Limit

  • SAS Assistant: Maximum age 30 years
  • Technician (Civil Engineering): Maximum age 27 years
  • Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India (GoI) norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen categories.
  • Departmental candidates are also eligible for age relaxation as per rules.

Salary

  • SAS Assistant (Level 6): Starting salary of Rs. 35,400 per month, with annual increments going up to Rs. 1,12,400.
  • Technician — Civil Engineering (Level 3): Starting salary of Rs. 21,700 per month, with annual increments going up to approximately Rs. 69,100.
  • You will also receive DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Central Government rules.

Selection Process

Responsibilities

  • Handle student activity and sports programs, events, and co-curricular activities for the institute (SAS Assistant)
  • Organise and manage cultural, sports, and student events throughout the academic year
  • Maintain records and assist in the day-to-day administrative work of the department
  • Assist the Civil Engineering Department with laboratory work, equipment maintenance, and technical support (Technician)
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain civil engineering lab instruments and machinery
  • Support faculty and students during practicals, experiments, and fieldwork
  • Prepare lab reports, maintain consumables inventory, and follow institute safety guidelines

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Senior Secondary (10+2) with Science / ITI in Civil Engineering / Diploma in Civil Engineering (for Technician); First Class B.P.Ed. (for SAS Assistant)

Preferred Qualification

Diploma in Civil Engineering (3 years) for Technician; strong record of sports and cultural activities for SAS Assistant

Required Skills

Physical Education degree with sports/co-curricular activities background (SAS Assistant); Civil Engineering technical knowledge and lab skills (Technician)
