NCERT's Division of Educational Kits (DEK) is hiring 1 Junior Project Fellow in New Delhi. If you have a Master's degree in Physics, Chemistry or a related discipline, you can attend the walk-in interview on 21 August 2026. The position pays a consolidated stipend of Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 37,000 per month, and the fellowship runs till 31 March 2027.

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) Junior Project Fellow Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Division of Educational Kits (DEK), a constituent unit of NCERT under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is filling 1 position of Junior Project Fellow (JPF) on a contractual basis. The fellow will work on the PAC-approved programme "Review of NCERT's Secondary Stage Science Kit for Grades 9 & 10" in light of NEP 2020 and NCFSE 2023. Selection is entirely through a walk-in interview — there is no separate written exam or online application for this post.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: Master's degree in Physics, Chemistry or any related discipline
  • Marks Required: Minimum 55% marks for General category candidates, 50% for SC/ST/PH candidates
  • Skills: Data processing and report preparation skills, along with good communication skills

Salary

  • Candidates with NET/Ph.D qualification will get a consolidated stipend of Rs. 37,000 per month.
  • Non-NET candidates will get a consolidated stipend of Rs. 35,000 per month.
  • The fellowship is purely temporary and runs up to 31 March 2027. It does not entitle you to regular employment in NCERT.

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)

There is no written exam for this post. Selection is done directly through a walk-in interview:

  1. Registration: Report to the DEK office between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM on the interview date with your documents.
  2. Walk-in Interview: Interviews start at 11:00 AM. Candidates arriving after 11:00 AM will not be entertained.

  2. Carry a hard copy of your CV, original certificates and self-attested photocopies of each certificate.
  3. Carry one passport-size photograph.
  4. If you are currently employed elsewhere, carry a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your employer.
  5. Report to the Office of DEK, NCERT, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi-110016 on 21 August 2026 between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate the NCERT Secondary Stage Science Kit for Grades 9 and 10

  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation on findings
  • Coordinate with the project team and division head on kit revisions
  • Support the day-to-day activities of the Division of Educational Kits
