KGMU's Office of the Medical Superintendent, Gandhi Memorial & Associated Hospitals, Lucknow has invited applications for 31 Senior Resident (Un-registered) posts spread across Orthopaedic Surgery, Anaesthesiology, General Surgery, E.N.T. and Respiratory Medicine. This is a short-term recruitment through walk-in interview — you submit your filled application on the same day as the interview, so there is no lengthy online process. Anaesthesiology has the highest number of seats (16), followed by General Surgery (6). King George's Medical University is one of the oldest and largest government medical universities in Uttar Pradesh, running the Gandhi Memorial and Associated Hospitals in Lucknow. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed M.D. / M.S. / DNB recognised by the MCI/NMC in the relevant subject.
• Domicile: Reservation benefits under UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS apply only to candidates with Uttar Pradesh domicile. If your reserved category certificate is from outside UP, you will be treated as an unreserved (general) candidate.
• Registration: State Medical Registration is mandatory before joining, if selected.

Age Limit

• The maximum age limit for Senior Resident (Un-registered) posts is 45 years, as per NMC rules.

Application Fee

• General (UR) / OBC candidates: Rs. 3,000
• SC / ST candidates: Rs. 2,000
• Payment mode: Deposit the fee in the University Income Fund account at Indian Bank, KGMU Branch before the interview.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through a walk-in interview:

1. Document Screening: Bring one set of self-attested photocopies and originals of all certificates and testimonials for verification.
2. Walk-in Interview: Reporting time is 1:30 PM and the interview starts at 2:00 PM on 11 July 2026 at the Committee Hall, Medical Superintendent Office, GM & AH, KGMU, Lucknow.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
