The posts are for Lecturer-I (Engineering) and Lecturer-II (Non-Engineering) disciplines under direct recruitment quota. Who Can Apply?

For Engineering Lecturer-I Posts

• Qualification: You need a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technology with 55% marks in the appropriate branch or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university.
• Relevant branches: Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Civil Engineering.

For Food Technology Lecturer-II

• First preference: Bachelor's degree with 55% marks in the appropriate branch/discipline from a recognised institution or university.
• Second preference: Bachelor's degree in Arts / Science / Commerce with first class diploma in the relevant discipline.
• Third preference: First class diploma in the appropriate branch/discipline from a recognised institution.

• Domicile: You must be a domicile of Jammu and Kashmir UT.
• Cut-off: Your qualification and certificates must be valid by 31 May 2026.

Age Limit

• Open Merit candidates can apply up to 40 years as on 1 January 2026.
• Reserved category candidates can apply up to 43 years where applicable under J&K rules.
• Physically Challenged candidates can apply up to 42 years.
• In-service / Government candidates can apply up to 40 years as per the notification.

Application Fee

• General Category: Rs. 1,200
• Reserved Category: Rs. 700
• Physically Challenged Candidates: No fee
• Payment mode: Online only after submitting the application form.

Selection Process

The selection will be handled by JKPSC under its Business and Procedure Rules. The notification says the written examination is tentatively planned for August 2026.

1. Written Examination: JKPSC will conduct the exam at Jammu and Srinagar centres. The syllabus is available on the JKPSC website.
2. Document Verification: You must produce the downloaded online application form and original certificates when JKPSC calls you.
